sounds great but my prediction is that SGA gets traded to Toronto this summer.

Toronto receives: SGA & NAW
Utah receives: Vanvleet & Trent + TOR 2024 FRP
OKC receives: Mitchell

SGA - Banton
OG - NAW
Barnes - Young
Siakam - Boucher
Precious - Birch

Must be 6'6 or taller to play for Toronto.

6-6
6-7
6-8
6-9
6-9

would be a hilarious lineup

SGA would be awesome, tall PG and Canadian too. Hopefully FO looks for creative ways to acquire him in the next couple of years.

SGA is great slasher but he's a streaky 3pt shooter, and doesn't take midrange shots. We need a consistent shot maker who can make shots all over the halfcourt during the playoffs. Mitchell is one of the few guys who elevates into MVP level during the playoffs.

Agreed but we also are missing a guard who can get to the hoop at any given time. I have a hard time seeing Mitchell being available for us and then you also have to factor in his desire to play in Canada. Think SGA is much more realistic as long as he has some desire to move on from a rebuilding OKC squad and wants to win.

What are the current rules about converting Justin Champanie's 2-way contract and have him eligible for the playoffs?

sounds like an ideal lineup in terms of size. I think they're trying to build towards something like this.

I wonder if Masai would trade Fred. He’s a bit of a chucker but he’s awesome defensively. I can see it happening for someone like SGA though as I think Masai has an all big lineup dream.

For SGA definitely but I doubt they would want Fred considering they are rebuilding.

We don’t have a roster spot so I don’t think we convert him. Honestly don’t think he would play in the playoffs anyway.

We probably sign him in the off-season though if Yuta or someone else is gone.

Pretty happy if this actually stayed this way and we got McGowens. But they haven't really done much with their mock draft yet like most years.

Gobert is considered more likely to become available via trade than Mitchell. If Gobert is shopped, two teams expected to express interest are the Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors.

nah man, I guess its just name dropping, ppl think we need a "C", because we lack a classical Big in their opinion. I don't think Masai trades the few Assets we have for that 40+ million contract. Maybe Turner, but not Gobert.

donn't see this being a thing.

1. who would we trade (OG and GTJ> na)

2. fit wise - doesn't seem like a homerun on paper. (culture, offense etc)
raf1995 wrote:I just don’t think he has that kind of potential. I think we will regret not trading him for a haul in a few years when he’s a mid-tier starter with nice playmaking and defense and a shaky jumper.

That's exactly that. The speculation is created because people think just like some on this board that we need a 'traditional' C.

Gobert ($37 million) instead of Mitchell.

Trent, Birch, Flynn, Svi (waive) = $28 million Almost within 25%. :( Can they make the qualifying offer to David Johnson and trade him?

PG FVV - Barnes - Brooks
SG OG - Banton
SF Barnes - Champagnie
PF Siakam - Thadd
C Gobert - Precious

I agree with you on that, NN/MU/BW are having a clear vision how this team is build, there's no traditional big needed, maybe for the depth, but that's it. but we're lacking creativity and scoring punch

I think it's mainly a question of how much of our cap Masai/Bobby want to tie up in a traditional big - especially one who can't shoot? MLE is fine. Serge when healthy a few years back was easily worth the non-taxpayer MLE.

But north of 30 mill is definitely not fine.

couldn't Utah do better than this?

Return to Toronto Raptors
