Julius Randle Likely Out For Remainder Of Season

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Apr 2, 2022 3:27 pm

The New York Knicks have been eliminated from postseason contention and will take advantage to rest some banged up players down the stretch. With Julius Randle hurting, it looks like the Knicks will shut him down for the rest of the season.

Randle has been battling a sore quad for a couple of weeks now. With New York having nothing to play for, Tom Thibodeau said Randle is "most likely out of the rest of the way".

After an All-Star season last year, Randle struggled to find the same momentum this campaign. He dropped to just 41% shooting overall and 31% from behind the arc, after hitting 46% and 41% last season. Randle's counting stats all fell off this season, as well.

Hopefully he’s played his last game in a Knicks uniform.

I think fans hating on Randle is ridiculous. He's a crappy #1 but he's being paid like a #3. So how about fans give the NYK all the crap for treating a #3 like a #1 rather than going out and getting a #1 and #2. You can blame Randle all you want but this is really more about the Knicks still being the Knicks. I mean, Randle is getting paid just a touch more than Joe Harris. BRK has three players making at least $15M more than Randle. How is any of this mess Randle's fault? Give the man some help!

I think Randle and #10 (not move up to top 4) gets traded to New Orleans for Zion and 2nd pick. Change of scenery from both.

Considering Zion's buddies are already there, I can see it happening.

If that's all it took to get Zion he would've already been a Knick.
