Post#1 » by cedric76 » Sat Apr 2, 2022 6:05 pm

Ny fans say that they ll be happy to trade him for a high draft pick?

Would you trade our top 3 pick for barrett?

Fultz/suggs
Barrett/suggs
Franz /chuma
Ji/wcj/chuma/moritz
Wcj/bamba/rolo

Still not sure what we could get from Cole and Hampton
Suggs, Tyus, Jase

hard pass. hes up for an extension doesnt warrant risking getting a superstar (atleast the chance)

Yeah i m torn on that one

Not a good ft shooter
Not a good 3pt shooter

However he is still very young and has the tool to be a very good sg

Better than any sg in this draft

so RJ is still very young, but when people bring up Murray, who is younger than RJ, he is too old.

RJ is a 20 pt scorer in nba at the age of 21 yrs old

Goes to the free throw line almost 6 times per game

Can you see a sg as good in this draft?

I don't

He's averaging 20ppg while shooting 41/35/72... not great at all. He just gets A TON of shots up. He gets 17 FGA per game.
In comparison, Cole is averaging 17ppg on 14 FGA per game on 39/34/85 splits. Let's just trade Cole for a top 5 pick... That would be amazing... and would NEVER happen. I'm sure you know that.

Yes. There has to be better SGs in this draft because Barrett sucks. He scores a lot because he shoots a lot. He is a negative defender. He has a net differential of -6.2.

Career 2P%:
Barrett: .446
Suggs: .441

Career FTr:
Barrett: .312
Suggs: .304

Career FT%:
Barrett: .698
Suggs: .773

What you listed as your concerns (FT% and 3P%) are the only things he doesn't really suck at.

SG isn't our most pressing need. Good players are what we need, regardless of where they play. I would implore you to stop figuring out how to acquire every **** player in the NBA that has a high usage rate.

Oh for the love of God no...

He's about to be an FA too who might command near max money based off his inflated and contrived numbers... He's an inefficient scorer and does nothing else that makes him really intriguing.

Get me Jabari Smith or Chet Holmgren on a 4 year rookie scale and call it a day.

I have a strong feeling that RJ will have an amazing season 2022-2023 and many people will regret not buying low on him

I m be glad to be proven wrong

IF they get rid of Thibs AND they get rid of Randle then you would be correct.

Exactly, RJ is not used properly and I m sure he could thrive under our coach

But I m still not sure I d do that trade

The fact that he ll command the max next season isn't helping either

If they want something around Cole (the NY link), Ross, and a few 2nd round picks then maybe

he may not be used properly, but he has plenty of usage and shots available for him

I'd rather give Cole or our RJ with JI and our 2023 1st, and our 2022 2nd rd, and CHI or Den 1st.
adding RJ without removing someone doesn't work.

I've actually proposed a few RJ trades myself so I don't think he's useless but him commanding a near max contract soon makes it a non-starter to trade anything of actual value.... which why I always centered the trades around Cole. There is NO WAY you give up a top 5 pick on a rookie scale contract for the chance to pay a guy a near max contract who hasn't proven that he deserves it.
