Hawks have a good chance to make it to 7th seed or 6th depending on how the Cavs play without Allen.
Do you guys think Trae will at least make the all NBA 3rd team this year if the hawks get 6th or 7th seed?

3rd team sure, even 2nd team possible. In my opinion Luka/Ja/Curry/DeRozan (if in guard)/CP3 or Booker are all at least slightly ahead, but getting the team to 6 is almost impossible unless Trae goes god mode, then sure he can be in 2nd team.
Cleveland 37w-27l. Atlanta 31w-32l.
If Cavs go 9w-9l for the rest, they will win 46 games, meaning Hawks need to go at least 15w-4l.

Winning plays down stretch… team is solidly in playoffs and again- he has been the best point guard consistently from start to finish of the year… everyone else had hot stretches or got into their groove - but he been hot since day one…

I make the same argument from Jokic being MVP as Trae being first team all nba point guard… no one has done it better consistently from game one till the end of the year… everyone else in the point guard race has either started slow and heated up, missed more games or both… no one has been there day in from day one like Trae

You can argue but the case won't be as strong, and he most likely won't make it. Call me a homer, but I think Luka is a lock for 1st team. His 2022 makes up the slow start and he has the personal stats and team record to back it up. Other guards happen to be on strong teams, like Booker/CP3, Curry, and Ja. I would personally take Trae over Morant, 71 vs. 56 games and Grizzlies super strong even without him for a long stretch, but Ja is a highlight reel and media darling.

It’s ok to be a homer… it make sense. I think Booker is a lock for first team at this point. I would take Trae over Luka, because Trae played great as soon as the season started and Luka got stronger as a year went on but I also agree that Luka is playing defense (except against the wiz?)...Luka def rating was 105 at one point it’s now 111 but Trae 117!...so I get why people like...even if Trae better offensively a defensive rating of 117 isn’t acceptable at first team. But ja prob gonna be first team anyway...so moot point.

I’m just surprised so many people have Trae missing the all nba team alllll together
