Whiteside is listed grey tossup GTD. Forrest is still OUT with a concussion. Curry is OUT until the beginning of playoffs.

Re: Game 78: Utah Jazz (46-31) vs Golden State Warriors (48-29)
Notwithstanding GS only going 1-6 over the last seven games playing without Curry, I am worried about this road game. Draymond Green is getting his mojo back. He had 10 rebs, 7 ast, 3 blks and 2 steals in a game against Phoenix Wednesday that was tied with just 34 seconds to go, while Jordan Poole had 38 points on 22 fga with 9 rebs and 7 assists. Poole is averaging 28.1 ppg on 21 fga over the last seven games starting in place of Curry.
The projected Jazz starters are a bit undersized except for Gobert at center. Wings Green, Wiggins and Thompson are all capable defenders who can switch off. I don't know whether Poole is a good defender, but GS also has defensive specialist Gary Payton ll coming off the bench. NBA.com ranks the Warriors as the third best defense. They were ranked number one when Green went down with his injury on Jan 9.

Hernangomez and House are really starting to grow on me...... I would love to see both return next season......

Not that I'm advocating for Snyder to be fired, but how can you as a Coach keep watching this happen and not do anything? No adjustments, no substitutions...... Royce was literally useless out there the entire game, and yet Snyder refused to sub him out.....

Re: Game 78: Utah Jazz (46-31) vs Golden State Warriors (48-29)
I was wrongly thinking that the game started at 8:30pm Utah time, so tuned in late with the Jazz up 13 points, 103-90 with 6:58 left in Q4. I thought this looks good, but then the Jazz went almost six minutes without scoring a single point. GS outscored the Jazz 21-4 after I turned the game on.

Well, he has changed our rotation in the past few games so that Juancho and House have replaced Gay + Paschall + NAW and I think that was the correct decision ... but it might be time to also take Clarkson out of the rotation in favor of Forrest so that we at least are able to play defense. Clarkson wasn't the major issue this game, but he has been in several of these collapses because he is such a disinterested defender.

Re: Game 78: Utah Jazz (46-31) vs Golden State Warriors (48-29)
I don't know if I'm interested enough in this team to watch the playoffs, tbh. Conley and Mitchell are too small of a backcourt, and watching Clarkson play just makes my eyes bleed at this point. He's been a terrible defender this year, he was very engaged on that end to start the season, but it has fallen off a cliff and he gets caught ball watching, sulking, etc. all the time. I'd even be open to Royce being moved, even though I like him. Basically, everyone between Mitchell and Gobert should probably be moved to reshape this roster.

Nothing like a game against the Jazz to help a struggling team find it's groove back.
Draft Nate Wolters - FAILED
Keep Nate Wolters - FAILED

Keep Nate Wolters - FAILED

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

You see +/- and Juancho and Danuel were +20 and + 21. Even clarkson was 0.
Then you see mitchell, Bojan and O'NEale beings -21, -24 and -25.
Conley and Gobert positive.
You see what I'm saying.
Regards.

Clarkson is the only one in the second unit capable of getting his own shot...... You take him out, you have nothing......
And in-game adjustments are much more important than rotation adjustments....... Last night was a perfect example, both Hernangomez and House were playing better than Royce (and the Bogey that we saw in the 4th), yet in the 4th, Snyder sticks to his rotation like a life jacket.....

Re: Game 78: Utah Jazz (46-31) vs Golden State Warriors (48-29)
Clarkson is not the problem.
We should finish games with this kind of rotation:
Gobert-Juancho-House-Mitchell-Conley
or
Gobert-Bojan-House-Forrest-Mitchell
You can change Conley for Clarkson if you need a bigger body.
The thing it's our deffense is working when Gobert is playing with big wings who rebound and deffense. If you need Bojan offense, then you have to sacrifice the size of Conley and put another deffensive minded player.
Royce is innefective. Bojan is useless if Mitchell is going to play all the balls. Conley can score, but he is not the answer in deffense.
Remember that we don't need to score a lot in the 4th... simply we don't need to be scored.

Jazz cannot keep going with Royce and Bojan...... They need an actual 4...... Capable of rebounding the ball...... I don't know if that's Juancho, but Bojan or Royce at the 4 is not working.......

I agree. Bojan is a three, he's best defending threes, he causes bigger matchup issues on offense against threes. Royce is also a three, but at least a better rebounder than Bojan.

You're right about Royce being a better rebounder than Bojan...... Unfortunately, that's not saying much, lol......

Jazz can't go with focus on 3P based offense and lazy defense. All other factors are practically insignificant.
Yes, GSW went all way, but they have unique unicorn in Curry and stone-hard defense at that.
