Well can the officials at least give Cleveland the ball when Philly casually tossed it out of bounds?

Oh he draws contact alright. By lowering his shoulder and barreling straight into the defender. There's a reason every team's fanbase except yours criticizes your team for the reffing they get. Half of these free throws are complete jokes.
That's called a drive.

Yup like most superstar Brazilians. He loved partying way too much.

...from that generation.

That doesn't seem to be the case with Neymar & co. People complain about how he reacts to the constant fouling on the pitch, but none of the off-field stuff that hit brazilian stars of the past.

...and in the Bundesliga, we've had a lot more problematic french & german players than hard-partying south-americans in recent years.

Yeah Neymar seems like he just wants to chill. I dont see people partying as problematic lol. I mean it's a choice and for the longest time people saw no noticeable change in how the superstars played. I mean Romario was notorious for partying. So was R9 Maradona etc. Thing was they were so good it didn't matter. Ronaldinho for a while was like that. But as a Milan fan his dip in play was noticeable. He was still pretty good but he wasn't close to the same player he once was. Which was evident in his last years at barca.

But really there are no real superstars of that mold anymore. Feels like football players have become more robotic as the years go on. The flair that past superstars had has also been lost in my opinion.

Messi is the only one that reminds me of why i love football nowadays. Before i had like 20 players i would personally watch just because i loved the way they played football.

Partying isn't a problem in and of itself...I used to indulge on occasion myself...but it can become problematic for many players and some of these idiots drive when messed up. Even without the cocaine, all-time greats like Gerd Müller were destroyed by alcoholism, and a lot of talented kids fail to make good on their potential once they can afford to indulge as much as they could ever want.

I'm german, so I grew up celebrating the total football that we stole from the dutch in the 70s and with the notion that the team was the star, so I love modern football. So many teams in germany now play courageous & creative football, and at the very top of the foodchain, Haaland & Mbappe are simply surreal talents.

Plus my team (Union Berlin) is not just playing top division football for the first time since reunification, we are competing for a european spot for a second straight year.

And Doc Rivers has the nerve to complain to the officials all game long. His team has got the benefit of almost every call tonight.

It’s an absolute joke that you think THAT was a foul. That was a phantom call on Brown. I let your silly comment about the officials getting every call right go but that one on Brown was not a foul in any way.

We have no Mobley or Allen either

Feel like we see this every year with a Harden team. They get bounced as soon as refs swallow their whistles.

Yea true. Embiid and Harden are nothing without FT's. It's getting embarrasing for them. How often does Embiid just throw himself to the ground hoping for a call. I said the other day that he will injure himself if he keeps doing that.

Remember when the NBA used to fine floppers instead of rewarding them? Me neither.

Embiid and Harden are going to take, at a minimum, 30 free throws on the road. Neither one has been called for an offensive foul.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.
