All 3 players are (expected) to play tomorrow. Lebron do or die with one day rest, Giannis coming off a few days rest, but Embiid on a back to back May see some reduced minutes.

Lebron 30.27
Giannis 30.11
Embiid 29.98

No way doc rivers reduce embiid minutes with hca on the line. Toronto beat Miami tonight and next week 76ers and the lock up the 4th seed. They not losing the other 2 games

Lmao at all the clowns claiming LeBron is stat padding. If he doesn’t average 30 they might be in last place, that’s how trash his team is. He needs to do this for survival.

You’re the clown for ignoring half of the game. Get back on defense and get a stop if you want to put your team into a position to win the game. It’s abundantly clear that LeBron cherry picks his games too, sitting out against teams where he can’t easily get to the rim (Nuggets, 76ers) subbing himself into games where the other team is blowing them out by 30+ wow yea they really needed LeBron to come in and score garbage time points to survive.

Lebron - 30.27 (must play 2 more to qualify, @ PHX @GSW OKC (B2B) @DEN)
Embiid - 30.20 (@IND, @TOR, IND, DET (B2B))
Giannis - 30.08 (@CHI, BOS, @DET (B2B), @CLE)

Updated for today.

Lebron was a surprising DNP in a loss. They need to win out to stand a chance at this point, effectively 3 games behind the Spurs. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets his numbers against Phx and GSW and then calls it a season. The Spurs have a slightly tough run home against the glut of the Western playoffs (@DEN @MIN GSW @DAL), surely they can’t lose it from here though, right? Maybe a few of those teams will have rest days to give the Spurs the win to ensure they won’t have playoff Lebron turning up at some point.

Embiid played 69 minutes (nice) in a back to back this weekend, pulling a 44 on the Cavs to take 2nd in the scoring race.

Giannis puts up a sleep walking 28 and 10 in 40 mins against Dallas in a close loss, slightly dropping his average.

Embiid can take the lead by scoring 36 in his next game.
Giannis can take the lead by scoring 43 next outing.
Lebron can lose the lead if he scores 25 or less next game.

The next game for LeBron will be a tough one. I think LeBron's scoring title depends on that one. Not only Suns have one of the best defenses both on perimeter and in the paint, it will also likely to be a blowout which means it's hard to justify LeBron coming into the game with his team down by a big margin because it would look pretty ugly on him.

If Lakers can somehow stay in the game vs Suns, the scoring title will be LeBron's to lose. All he needs to do is pick one more game where things can tight (vs GSW?), hopefully manipulating an OT or two to consolidate his average. Once done, he doesn't have anything else to play for this season.

If they’re not dead by the OKC game, I half expect the team will let him try to run up 50 points in 28 minutes against the 130lb Poku

The same clowns claiming LeBron is statpadding are the ones who overlook the fact that Embiid has to shoot 20+ FTs per game to average 30.

Well it's a b2b though, but yeah playing both is still an option if scoring title is on the line. (30 min -ish per game, set the team to run score for him)

I hope it comes down to this. 3 70 point games on the final night.

Is it possible that KD could qualify if he plays the final 3-4 games?

He won’t reach the 58 game requirement, however it is technically possible to become eligible.

Essentially he would need 1,756 points on the season (leader * min game requirement / 30.28 * 58), but he’s currently sitting at 1,537 in 51 games.

He needs to average 55 a game in each of the remaining 4 games, and that number increases if he doesn’t play each game.

If he only plays 3 games he would need to average 73 per game in that span, or 109.5 per game for 2 games.

If, however, the scoring leader increases the leading average, that increases the ground KD would need to make up in 4 games.

Let’s say Lebron drops a 50 piece next game, that means he leads the league with 30.61ppg, pushing KD’s magic number out to a touch over 1,775 points, or an average of 59.7 in his remaining 4 games.

The gift and the curse. They may opt to protect him by reducing minutes, especially in a blow out, or sitting out one of the back to backs.

I expect Denver and Lakers to have an agreement that Denver wins and LeBron gets an easy high scoring game for the scoring title

No one cares about single season totals, champ

No one cares about imaginary narratives either and yet that's how the MVP is determined. Thats why Lebron didn't win it all those years that he should.

NBA is dumb, so I had to ask just in case.

Totals and even career totals are not really a thing in the nba, unless you're first in career totals and then you're triva level...but still don't care.

Better question is if anyone would really care, but we'll see.

I'm thinking Embiid has better chances of becoming MVP if he is also the scoring leader.
Suprised he sat out a 4th quarter recently. Still he has a good chance.

Would be nice if they battle it out in the last day of the season.

But I expect James to play just 2 more games. Best chances for him would be Golden State and OKC.

Too bad that the requirement isn't minimum 1400 PTS anymore. Would be nice if Durant could participate, too.

The Suns have clinched the best record in the league and just rested Devin Booker vs. the Thunder. They might be motivated to show that they’d wax the floor with the Lakers and AD, or they might be resting for the playoffs.
