They're my 'Chise, but... The Nets will not make it out the play-in.

Post#1 » by Karate Diop » Mon Apr 4, 2022 10:24 pm

They're my 'Chise and they'll be something to talk about (keep their name out yo mouth Lames Larden) next year... But these Nets aren't making it out the play-in.

They're not built for a single game elimination... And between injuries, horrendous coaching, and zero cohesion at this point in the season due to so some combination of those two (and a questionable roster build), they just don't have it in 'em...

The dog's not there this year.

There ain't no last Samurai walking through that door...

This is the Association. We ain't on some BS Naruto Bleach Dragonball Z power-up ****...

There's no way Steve Nash finna install what would be his first offensive set with a few games left...

Last year the Nets would have Will Smith'ed a dude who didn't put RESPEK on them, this year they're getting Will Smith'ed by dudes who don't deserve RESPEK.

For everyone who predicted the significant injuries (shout out to Joe Dolla Sign, get well fam), Larden quitting on the team, the length of the Kyrie fiasco and Steve Nash's love for James Johnson.... I salute you, and admit my predictions for the 'Chise were wrong.

But just remember... Through the darkest of days and blackest of nights... This 'Chise will rise.

The playin will likely have an injured Cavs team and 2 other teams who can't defend.

Simmons should be back by then, along with Durant and Kyrie. They have a bunch of issues, but it should be enough to get through the play-in I'd think. We've yet to even see the team.

They will

Nothing's guaranteed of course but they're just better than the Hawks, Hornets and Cavs to me if healthy. Even without Simmons, if they have everyone else I'll pick them every time. But what's been surprising to me is Kyrie's efficiency lately. Since he's gotten approval to play home games he hasn't been as accurate from the field. I suppose that will change and Nets will win and get into the playoffs and upset a 1 or 2 seed in the East

Simmons has been ruled out for the play-in tournament actually..

It's definitely not looking good atm, Nets are in a rough position (which recently has been of their own doing), and there are just too many injury/continuity issues to overcome. Kyrie has been in a slump lately as well, which doesn't help. Definitely an incredibly disappointing season given the outlook/expectations from the offseason. It's really sad because the talent is there, but the team just can't stay healthy.

I’d love this to happen and you to be right but I think they’ll definitely make it out the play in and be in the playoffs

Should you be capitalising a word when you're abbreviating the front off?

The only way they don't is if Durant gets hurt, Charlotte is likely going to have to play on the road and then you'll get the Cavs who just seem done at this point. Atlanta is in, they got hot at the right time

well, anything can happen in a game but that's a pretty likely scenario tbh.

Durant and Kyrie gonna do their thing (which in the Playoffs is even more insane) but they are just not a team and Nash isn't a coach. He might be someday...and I hope he becomes one but this never works, being a gr8 player does not immedietly equate being a valuable coach we've seen it time and times again, across different sports.

Very hard to bet against Durant and Kyrie going supernova but they're just not a good team, can't defend much.. i'm not even sure that Durant or Kyrie going supernova will be enough if they happen to run into an opponent having a good game as well and heating up at the right moments. no mental fortitude..no strategy..just Durant's and Kyrie's incredible indivdual talent, that might very well not be enough.

The Cavs aren't done, they're a gutsy team with nothing to lose. They just need Mobley back to have a puncher's chance

kudos to OP for fitting in nearly every played-out general board meme of the last decade. Gave me a nice chuckle seeing "Chise" again.

Well played. Missing the classic assfault and would have been nice if you could have somehow worked in Nash bringing his dog to the game to help him coach on the sidelines.

Agreed. They played their butts off last night against the Sixers. If they get Mobley back they could be a problem.
