Trade Lebron and his expiring next season. The lakers need to make a bold move. More than half of the lakers’ fans hate lebron anyways.

Man... We suck. This is as good a time as ever to nuke a team I suppose.

Pretty sure he has a no trade clause, and I don't see him waiving it. They're likely stuck with him for at least one more season.

Probably more of the same next year unless LeBron demands a trade.

He does not have a no-trade clause.

I stand corrected. Still, I don't see him being offloaded.

Wonder what a bron trade would look like. Maybe try to squeeze future unprotected 1sts from some team going all in?

Beyond the terrible Lebron-engineered Westbrook trade, it's remarkable how badly they misvalued their own players. They placed way too much value on THT, not using him to trade for Lowry, while at the same time they just let Caruso go.

Ja for Lebron

Memphis has a good defense anyway and they're better without Ja, amirite?

I think the Lakers only performed slightly worse than my original expectation. Don't want to sound like a smart @ss but nobody really expected AD to play the whole season. A healthy AD at this point is one that plays ~60 games a year. After Lakers made the Westbrook trade and signed all those washed vets I thought even if AD plays 60 games the Lakers are likely a .500 team.

I don't like Westbrook but it's sad that he'll end up being the scapegoat of this dumpster fire. For the most part he performed up to his usual self. Not really his fault that they constructed the team this way.

They'll sign some more over the hill players this offseason. Probably trade Reaves and a pick for a 40yr old.

Small correction - Austin Reaves is under contract for $1.56m next year …. Not that I except that to make much difference!

Not a Lakers hater, but this video had me laughing for days. The amount of times Russ smacked the ball off the top of the backboard was simply hilarious.

So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

They will need a group of defensively committed, energetic NBA'ers instead of slow footspeed Vets with streaky jumpshots, receding verticals, and bigger egos.

These are ideally players not too jaded of being paid NBA-minimum wage or not-too injury prone, not-too egotistical, and true basketball IQ Savants with Precision Shooting that can not only exist in a bloated offensive system with little-to-few touches and cover most of LBJ, AD, and RW's defensive antics throughout the regular season but also they will be providing real impact on both sides the court while making marginally less money than their teammates.

So, safe to say I'm eager to see another rocky Lakers season next year, it was high level entertainment this year for all the wrong reasons.

the problem with this approach is 3 and D guys are very pricey for their payroll. as much as people clown carmelo and howard, they are several times worth vet min their only downside is they are old and lack of defense the stars need to complement them. lebron and AD gained fame mostly because of their defensive prowess. they are old and washed to the point now you need other 3 guys to cover their defense which makes it complicated.

this lakers core is done bc lebron cant coexist with russ and he has reinvented his game to a poor man's steph curry giving up playmaking and defense. the cure is someone like a prime klay/kawhi/pg 13 that can be a number 1 option when needed not a scrub like caruso when james and AD miss half of the games. THT was supposed to be that guy I would prioritize giving him ball handling over expiring james and russ who will bolt from lakers.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Blow it up entirely.

Vogel a terrible coach.

LeBron 38 years old.

Day to Davis staying true to form.

Westbrook self awareness non existent.

None of the roll players are from the 2020 championship team or signed for next season.

The Lakers require a complete and utter rebuild.

LeBron to Golden State (stays in Cali, competes again, teams up w his bro Steph)

Davis to Miami.

Westbrook tank commander 2023.
Go Raps!!
