We have talent but we're missing that grit and that bite. You can see it with rebounding and chasing after 50/50 plays. It's too many finesse guys on this roster.

@Jroy

Elleby clinging to NBA life with his decent performance in March.

8.5 ppg on 55.5% scoring efficiency with 5.6 rpg and 16 apg

It seems like Billups likes him (always calling him over the sideline to discuss things with him). Do you think he sticks another season?

I think you need to start a post with Tobias Harris for his algorithm to alert him to the post.

Green + Korkmaz + two 2023 SRPs for Hield

Covington MLE

Harden(34)/Maxey(14)
Hield(30)/Maxey(18)
Covington(28)/Thybulle(20)
Harris(32)/Niang(16)
Embiid(32)/Bassey(16)

Harden/Maxey/Springer
Hield/Milton/Joe
Covington/Thybulle
Harris/Niang/Reed
Embiid/Bassey/Vet min

Pay a lot for the next two years before Maxey needs to get paid and Hield/Harris expire.

Are Brogdon and Oubre both bench players for us? How much faith do you have in Brogdon staying healthy?

Brogdon/Maxey/Milton
Harden/Maxey/Joe
Oubre/Ingles (MLE)/Korkmaz
Ingles (MLE)/Niang/Reed
Embiid/Bassey

I have something like that in mind, although it doesn't have to be exactly what I wrote.

You obviously have to load manage Brogdon and Harden. And Jo too, if he'll let them.

Curious,
Why do we want another slow team which cannot rebound?

I was more concerned with spacing. As long as Jo and Harden are focal points here, the starters will be kind of slow. You could try to build a change of pace bench, of which Maxey as the 6th man is an excellent start. Obviously you wouldn't sign Ingles in that scenario either.

I don’t think a player like Maxey who’s hyper efficient and has been shown to be effective in different lineups is someone who’d be marginalized in a trade. Brogdon doesn’t add a whole lot to the ceiling of the team.

If we’re gonna trade for a highly paid, often injured player I’d try to get Hayward. Size, shooting, & solid defense. And he’s a great connector on offense who keeps things flowing.

Agree that Brogdon does nothing for us. All we need are 3&D wings with size. Don’t mind Hayward but not trading Tobi for him so we can’t afford him.

This makes us worse. Thybulle is better than Oubre who is a mental midget. Harris is better than Brogdon when you factor in size, fit, and availability.

I keep looking at the percentages Toronto shot and Im amazed they could score 110 points. Then I see 35 free throws. And then I see they averaged 21 attempts a game in the regular season. Im not even saying the officiating was bad but that's amazing really. Can't hit a shot from the field or three but 35 free throws. Why were we fouling them exactly lol. Play a zone for a bit or something if we cant stop drives we have to foul on. 23.5% from three oof. On the positive side they shoot like that next game the Sixers will win by 20+.
