3RD Q: SPURS 82
WOLVES 97
Well it was a double digit deficit, we went on a run to cut it to 7, aaaaaand now it's ballooned to 15 thanks to ... wait for it ... TO's by us and 3s by them.

Obviously we're going small ball without a true PF starting, but in addition to addressing this, we must get more grit into our lineup. More physical bruising athletic types.

Nice charge taken by JRich then leaking ahead to dunk it.
Nice drive by Tre before that. He's going to be dangerous once he gets as tenacious on O as he is on D.
Passed up some 3s. That has to be gone by next season.

Our defense just isn't going to hold up against good teams. Unless they just miss a bunch of open shots there is no way to catch up.

4TH Q: SPURS 121
WOLVES 127
Wow. What an end. Chalk it up to youthful inexperience. For both teams. Wow we almost came from behind because of their player's insistence on hitting a scoring mark.
I can't imagine what Pop would've said in this situation but 1000% he would've put a stop to it well before. We almost took full advantage of it but for poor Joe being stone cold thrust into a scoring situation.
I'm not sure we were believing what was happening and so we were a bit stunned rather than making a full push each time. Good lesson for future games.
We came back from several deep double digit deficits so good fight even as we were cut short by their 3s barrage, making 20-53, that's out of 96FGAs.
We made 10-28 from the arc which was similar to their half time output. But we knew what we'd be facing versus a team that takes and makes the most 3s this season.
Led by Keldon's 20, we had eight(!) Spurs in double figures, including all starters and three bench reserves. We had 31 assists led by Tre's 8, supported by 6 each by Primo and JRich.
So the movement was there, just couldn't make enough of our chances. JRich runs cold-hot-cold on O though his D is usually reliable.
Better hustle and energy in the second half.
We will need to go over the fine art of boxing out, just as a matter of principle. Also making crisp purposeful passes that aren't easy picked off.
We were missing four players who get regular minutes and to not have them finally caught up to us. Still, some ball bobbles and bounces and weak passes and we were right there.
That's not about resignation but reality - reading the moment and responding to pressure.
It's all lessons to take in and learn from at this point all the more as we may be applying them sooner than we think.
On to the next with some experience from this one.
Honourable Mention of Solid Play
NOTEWORTHY ACHIEVEMENTS
