Sure, what SlimShady83 said he couldn’t wait for never happened (in fact comically went the complete opposite direction). But the real joke isn’t a optimistic fan pulling for a cooked player, the real joke was Lebron/AD and the Lakers front office thinking it would happen, choosing Westbrook, and dumping any tradeable assets they could and letting Caruso walk to facilitate all of it and some cap savingsz

Swing for the fence move with another aging guy who's fading. Makes a hard to watch team even harder to watch.

I know you've never liked cp3....we've discussed that before. I'm certainly not his biggest fan either, but holy hell, would he have been a much better fit. You gotta admit, CP3 plays a much smarter game than Westbrook, and certainly impacts whichever team he's on positively (unless your the Thunder trying to tank). I'd also say he's a much better shooter.

Our boy?......well he's nothing but a sh**-show. A 45mil dollar sh**-show.

BTW...I think your post gets my vote for "most prophetic"

Agree for the most part. The "haters shut up" part is a tad agro, so he's got some crow to eat....but there's nothing wrong with being a fan who likes Westbrook, and thought this was gonna be one of those 'seasons for the ages'. All good. AD was my #1 pick for players I wanted in the P&G. He's brought us a title, so I will consider it worth it over-all....but he's certainly become a bit of a disappointment. So I'm not perfect, and will cast no stones.

And you're right. The real people who shoulda known better were all in on this thing. I've sorta defended Pelinka on this deal, as I don't think he was the real decision-maker in all this. But that being said.....Westbrook had already bounced around from team to team, and had already shown fading skills. That we got taken to shed, with assets and picks is on Pelinka.

When I think about what we're gonna have to give away to try and offload this heap of crap, it makes is even more annoying that we gave good players AND picks away. We shoulda got a pick back. Horrible work all around with this one.

If you remember those discussions you'd know that Westbrook is far ahead of Paul in my book. He's been the worst possible role model for the game IMHO. His focus on getting the officials to beat you is so detrimental to the game it's not funny. I coached AAU for nearly 20 years and had to deal with young players questioning everything and flopping in front of other players while idolizing Paul. Youtube has 10min lowlights of him going under guys in the air and flopping in front of players who were looking the other way on purpose. When it became laughable the NBA added a flopping rule.... and has never called it on him once.

For some reason people like him and his "game". I love the thought that he'd have won a championship by now if not for his teammates stuff too. POP has shown how you take a team with him out of the playoffs again and again. He'll find a team to "hang on" to get a title someday is my guess.

The NBA started rehabbing Paul's reputation years ago after Katrina and then handed him endorsements when he went to the Clippers.

I flat out wouldn't watch if he's ever a Laker.
