Not trying to say Herro is on Wade's level or anything, but just remember Wade's rookie season he was 22 years old, which is what Herro is now, so statistically their 22 year old seasons (Herros third and Wade's rookie) are actually very close. Wade has that one quality that tends to separate stars from superstars though and that is getting to the free throw line.

And being a plus defender. Wade could control the flow of a game in ways Herro can't. Don't get me wrong, Herro is awesome, butt to me how ceiling is a tier or two below Wade.

And there was also handchecking Wades rookie season, the game was played at a slower pace, the court wasn’t as spread with shooters and when he’d drive to the basket he’d be met by a 6’10 guy and a 7 footer lol

They’re not even close.

Wade was Elite by his second year; All NBA 2nd team & a rib injury away from his first Finals MVP.

This did actually make me think who is Herro like and close to on par with at the same age and after much thought I sort of arrived at Steph Curry in Shooting Guard form.

Neither have the body and physicality to probably ever be a defensive intimidator, both are scorers, but that have playmaking ability and can run an offence, both have range and no humility in putting up a big shot, both have confidence in every shot, both are a threat all over the floor.

I expected to look at the numbers and see Herro be a very inferior Steph, but at the age of 22 - they are fairly equal on the numbers test https://stathead.com/basketball/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=0&player_id1=herroty01&p1yrfrom=2022&player_id2=curryst01&p2yrfrom=2011

They even got to line about the same amount and Tyler was actually jacking WAY more threes a game. Steph has him on assists, 2 pt FG%, 3 PT FG% (but on less makes) and steals, but Tyler has a much bigger part in this offense, taking more shots
