Of course we finish the regular season on a back-to-back, and a travel one at that.

Fresh off our thin line-up, however, most of our day-to-day players are returning versus an opponent that will also get its star player back.

We want to make sure we get our reps in our system in, get our legs under us, and stay healthy.

So early impressions - we are running some things I think we are trying to make smooth and click for this game and the one(s) after it - transition pushes for corner 3s.

It's shocking how much bigger Luka us than DJ.

We counter their run with one of our own on the foundation of 3s which is great practice considering our potential opponents coming up.

We take the transition PITP when we can otherwise.

We had to triple team Luka with the third Spur sneaking in from behind to get the ball off of him.

Counterpoint is that he went up versus multiple players in a congested area.

I do like the sneak attack attempt for the strip strategy.

1ST Q: SPURS 29

MAVS 28

Lots of lead changes, some sloppy play, som attempts to try new things, and get our legs under us.

Everyone but JRich has scored. We are 3-10 from 3 - I like both numbers, though we are not the most efficient.

Rebounds are nearly identical and we only have 1 TO.

Run out sets, keep getting our legs under us, stay healthy.

GO SPURS GO!!!

Im really interested to see how Vassell plays Wednesday. He has picked up his game soo much lately and playing aggressively.

Devin is a terrific rebounder on both ends.

He will have to make more of those 3s he keeps getting set up with.

Really liking Primo's D instincts.

Fun experience: I'm in the Spurs Shop at the AT&T Center before yesterday's game holding a Vassell Fiesta shirt. Two ladies standing in front of me have his jerseys on. It's a tight space, crowded, noisy, but we acknowledge one another's good player choice.

I see theirs are autographed by Devin and say WOW yours is signed!

Lady turns around and says, " Yes well he's my son!"

A fair point lol

Me: He's my favourite young Spur!

Very nice lady. Tall! Very proud of her son.

2ND Q: SPURS 59

MAVS 59

We are in a good killer mode in preparation for Wednesday.

CRISP, purposeful passes, really focused, great running back on D for stops, some stops at the rim.

Took a bit to get our rhythm but we've got it now.

Hardly ever see Jakob so intent about a play, but he was insistent on the O player kicking out his leg on that made 3.

Better rebounding to get ahead here, and get some O putback points.

We were only 2-8 from 3 this Q but I really like the passing that has led to the more open shots.

Devin's leading us in scoring and is one of the few Spurs who is efficient and the only one who has made more than one 3.

Eleven assists at the half.

Terrific FT shooting - 100%

Well Primo is getting focused on by Luka and though he's doing his best to body Doncic up, there's still a weight disparity getting exploited.

We had a couple of one and done possessions, something to be careful about not settling for.

A game of pace and 3s has emerged and we are chasing them.

3RD Q: SPURS 82

MAVS 97

Down 15 and that's after a 6-0 run to finish the Q.

They exploded on driv and kick plus at times extra pass for 3s and we were left chasing them around.

We have to get better at closing off passing lanes and getting to the pass receivers faster.

Just about time to get our starters some rest...

Love that Kelson just reached his what, 8th or 9th consecutive 20+ point scoring game. Terrific improvement throughout the season with consistency being one of those areas of improvement.
