I'd say it's the Celtics strategy to keep the Raps guessing so they can't game plan accurately

I don't think the Jazz have a clear preference. It'll be a tough series either way. I think the Jazz have been planning to play the Mavs for a while now. It's one reason they may have held out Gobert at the last minute the last time these teams met up.

That said, I could see Steph missing games in the 1st round if he doesn't get cleared in his check-up tomorrow.

The Jazz are very likely to end up at #5. It would be a super-human feat to lose to the Blazers, and the Nuggets are holding guys out against the Lakers.

The final seeding is really up to the Warriors and whether they want to lose to the Pels today. It sounds like the Mavs would like to move up to #3 if they can.

Not saying they should, just inquiring.

W and get the Nuggets, lose and get the Jazz.

I'd rather get the Jazz tbh

Pick our poison. Win and we’re in the Suns bracket. Lose and we’re in the Grizz bracket. Talk about a no win situation

I would like to remind everyone that Boston traded down from #1 to #3 to draft Tatum, who was not a consensus top 4 pick.

Then we get to see the best scorer ever and supposed MVP, along with a former recent MVP winner and future Hofer, get bounced in the first round vs. a team with no center.

The tanking Pistons are hardly a measure of anything, but Philly without her two stars still taking care of business.
Ofc even when trying, A core of Maxey, Harris, Thybulle, Green, Jordan and Milton would probably win as much games in a season as Detroit has this year :) I mean without Embiid and Harden haha.
Gonna be a fun series...:)

I haven't followed the Celtics drama, but did Jaylen say what you said ("Excited to play anyone") instead of saying "Yes I'm vaxxed"?

That leaves it very open...because if it turns out he's not vaxxed, and if that quote is brought up, he can just say "Well, I'm still gonna play them, just not in Toronto..."

"I'm vaxxed" = I can play anyone anywhere...
"I'm ready and excited to play anyone" doesn't necessarily mean he can play them anywhere...

I've been frustrated talking about this all day already but Jaylen says he's a VP of the Players Association and as such we will not hear him directly comment on personal medical info. That is NBAPA policy.

But he says he's ready to play against anyone. And the only reason anyone is even talking about it is because of speculation from reporter Chris Mannix who has already been proven wrong and doesn't even stand behind his own comments on it.

And the Celtics just rested Tatum and Horford in a game that, had they won it, would havre eliminated the possibility of playing the Raptors in the 1st round. If they had unvaxxed starter(s), avoiding the Raps would be the top priority. But clearly the team is fine with a potential Toronto series.

It's just a bunch of nothing that got mindlessly retweeted took on a life of its own.

I wonder if this tweet 7 months ago kinda fans the flames of that speculation

Read on Twitter

"I have my own thoughts on it ....... but I respect my teammates decisions" - If most of his teammates are vaccinated, that can be taken as an implication that he's on the other end of whatever their decisions are
.

I officially give up lol. Since we aren't playing Toronto anyway the story is about to pass so I'm going to stop getting frustrated and talking about it for my own mental health haha.

Glenn promised to roll out the corpse of DeAndre Jordan as Embiid's playoff backup as he's not interested in a "Paul Reed victory tour."

Time to fire this moron into the stratosphere!

Looking forward to that potential 2/3 matchup with Milwaukee and Boston.
