raptors. philly is going to have to shoot the hell out of the ball to win with how the raptors load up on the strong side and doc is going to get severely outcoached and probably fired.

they cant get back on defense, and have no hustle.

Philly wins if embiid dominates the offensive glass, danny green shoots well, and shake milton gives them bench scoring.

This is going to be VERY tough series for the 76ers. And it's one that neither Embiid nor and especially James Harden don't want on their resume of losing in.

The Beard in specific is on VERY thin ice, and clearly going to be watched very closely. So he better not even breathe wrongly.

In the end I think the FTs that Harden and Embiid get are going to be enough in 4th quarters and down the stretch to take this in a very tight 7 game series.

Philly could easily handle Toronto. They have the personnel and the ability. Trouble is, with Doc Rivers at the helm the entire Raps squad is going to run circles around them. I got the Raps in 6, but a sweep is not out of the question. Nurse must be so stoked. In a different world the Sixers would serve Toronto some poutine and send them packing.

Toronto has so much damn length & athleticism on the perimeter.

Don’t think anyone besides Embiid has a good series offensively for Philly.

I don't know who actually wins this series but I'm rooting for the most hilarious outcome possible, which would be Toronto in 7 after going down 3-1.

Brain says Philly in 7 but I could see any outcome honestly. I feel like Embiid's gonna get his, but it's put up or shut up time for Harden. This is it.

Raps in 4. Easiest first round match-up since 2020.

Nurse vs Doc strategy game (Raps win)
Star power (Sixers win mainly because Embiid)
Health and endurance (Raps win with younger guys Vs Harden's decline)
HCA (Sixers win probably, however series rarely get to 7, and Raps also have a strong arena in the POs)
Experience (Raps win because of key players who won it together before)
Size/D/athleticism (I take Raps with the gazillion 6'7"-6'8" guys, although it's tough because Embiid/Thybulle)
Shooting (Sixers win, on a good night can outshoot most teams, but I'm kinda high on this TrentJr guy, I think this is his year)
Refs (probably Sixers, home games matter)

I legit don't know, if I was betting I wouldn't touch this one.
Gonna be a good one to watch.

Raptors. 76ers have Embiid but I don't trust a team that has Harden AND Doc who have a history if dropping the ball in the playoffs

No one expected Toronto to be good at the start of the season and they're playing against a team that has all of the pressure to win. This is pretty much a guaranteed win-win scenario for the Raptors as long as they don't get swept -- in which case it would be a disappointing end to the season, but not necessarily a big failure.

I don't expect Toronto to put up great offensive numbers, but Siakam's improved midrange game and playmaking will make things difficult for the Sixers on that end. Philly can't just put Embiid on Siakam and live with midrange and three-point shots like they did in 2019, but they also can't play him straight up with Harris/Niang/Green or he will kill them in the paint. Assuming Toronto's shooters (mostly FVV, GTJ and OG) don't go cold, they can keep pace with the Sixers if the team continue to dominate the glass (35.0 OREB% and 55.0 REB% vs PHI this season).

I think this series comes down to Toronto's defence and if they can continue to make life miserable for Embiid/Harden while not allowing Philly's shooters to go off. It either ends in 5 or 6 for Philly or 6 or 7 for Toronto IMO. I think the most likely scenario is this series goes at least 6 games though.

We may have the defense to slow down Philly but our offense isn't that great. If Philly loses to us then they really need to blow it up. There should be no excuse if they can't beat us tbh
