In seriousness, we have a young group that is well equipped for a space and pace offense. Just need to prioritize it and we can move forward.

There's also a very clear backwards marching option. The anticipation is killing me.

Bring back D'Antoni !!!!!!!

Never thought I'd say that

wouldn't that be fun as hell, the kids running every play. it would be so enjoyable to watch

You guys are remembering Mike differently from me. He also ran a short rotation and was reluctant to play younger players. He did have the right play style philosophy though.

Our 21-22 roster cost 110,395,633

RJ 8,623,920
Obi 5,105,160
Cam 4,670,160
IQ 2,210,640
Grimes 2,168,640
Mitch 1,802,057
McBride 925,258

Was 25,505,835 of that

Randle is untradeable, no one is going to trade for that guy in his current contract. On the positive side for you Knick fans, Toppin and Quickley might have increased their trade value.

Oh I remember and I was the first on this board to loathe him. But then again I turn on our coaches faster than Buzz can type "Talking Anus GIF"

Hes tradeable. Might have to get creative, but he can be moved

30 point triple double for IQ.

And another miserable off-season for this forum commences.

Well atleast we own our draft pick.... :D

And atleast we have pinned the FO and Thibs into a corner...they almost have to make changes.

I agree. The value of trading Randle, even for pennies on the dollar, and keeping Obi who finished the season with the Garden chanting his name, far outweighs whatever value we'd get by trading Obi and keeping Randle.

I know this board loves to troll and be cynical, but y'all are crazy if you think the Knicks are trading this kid. Randle is a goner.
Yes truly addition by attraction. Notice how we little we turn the ball over without him on the floor? The ball moves, the players move, and we score so much more quickly and easily.

I haven't seen so many scrubs score 40 on same day: Obi, J Green, Klay, Oladipo, Monk

Dolan will not OK an Obi trade. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

In the last couple of weeks Obi gave the fans at MSG exactly the kind of box office attraction Guitar Jimmy always craves. Obi is the most marketable Knick since Melo

Randle is gone

No healthy NBA player is untradeable. And you know that.

Knicks would just be on the short end of the trade.

Let me just state one thing.

I know Austin Reeves had 36, 16, and 10. I know Brisset on the Pacers had 28 points. I’m well aware a lot of scrubs went off in the last few days.

Nobody thinks Obi is a superstar and he’s suddenly gonna drop 30 consistently. Obi is a 15 and 8 player in this league. He’s super athletic, runs the floor extremely well and always finds himself in a position to score. He doesn’t have much of a creative offensive game otherwise. I know his limitations. He’s not going to take anyone off the dribble. But that doesn’t mean he’s not an efficient scorer and a big that can be an above average asset in today’s NBA. Obi is a lot more of a player built for the modern game then Julius Randle. He’s the guy you build with - not around - because he makes your team better offensively.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

depends on which team will even take him. If bertrans can be moved, anybody can be.

How many first round picks do we have to attach now to RJ, Obi and IQ to get Donovan Mitchell?

I’d say maybe 2

Hopefully for only this year’s 12th pick and the Mavs’ Top 10 protected pick next year.

Will be content getting Donovan Mitchell if we manage to keep Cam and Grimes on the team.

Yea if we can keep cam and grimes I would be pretty happy too

Nice to hear Leon rose confirming Randle is here for another 4 years
“And RJ is only 21 years old. We have nine players on our team who are 24 years old or younger and Julius is only 27, so … we look at that like development is key. And just in this part of the season, we’ve seen some good development and just need to work and continue on and build on that.”

1. Trade Randle for Westbrook (buy out WB)
2. Draft BPA in the draft
3. Trade Fournier and Burks for 2nd rounders
4. Sign Ricky Rubio to a 2-year fair deal
5. Extend Mitch Rob and RJ on "fair" deals
6. Trade Rose to CHI for a late 1st

That's it. Nothing else really needed to be done to have a much better season next year...

IQ / Rubio
Grimes / McBride
RJ / Cam
Obi
Mitch/Sims

Our lotto pick and 2nd rounder learn with spot minutes off the bench.

40-40 record with a fight for the 6th/7th/8th seeds. An up-and-coming team like Cleveland was this year...
