Series goes as Harden goes. If he shows up like the MVP guy he was before his hamstring injury, Sixers can dominate us in 5.

If he plays like he has down the stretch, Raptors can win in 6. It's that simple for me.

Raptors are maybe the best equipped team to handle Harden. Harden thrives on hunting mismatches, against this team he'll switch from Siakam to OG to Scottie Barnes, there's very few weak individual defenders in the rotation.

Embiid is going to be a problem (he always is), raptors don't have a good matchup for him and he will likely get his. However, Embiid was a +8 in their most recent game but -13 in the 12 minutes he sat. Unless Embiid is playing 44 minutes/game, Sixers will need to cobble together a competent bench

Aside from Embiid, the sixers have very few two way players. You could argue Danny Green and maybe Tobias Harris (although Siakam cooked him this season). They will have to pick their poison with their lineups. Heavy dose of Thybulle will clog up their offense, lots of minutes for Niang will have Siakam licking his lips.

Raptors half court offense is still a concern. They are going to have to take advantage of transition opportunities whenever they can get them.

Final prediction - Raptors in 6. Embiid is going to be a problem but i think Raptors will be able to limit him just enough and win the non-Embiid minutes.

Raptors really have no one to guard Embiid with and he could just dominate, but with their fleet of long-armed defenders they'd make it extremely tough for him. All in all, I think coaching is gonna be the difference-maker here. Nick Nurse will out-scheme Doc for most of the series.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Raps in 7.

You realize the Raptors do the best job defending Embiid right?

I did not realize that, no. Sorry I don't follow your team 24/7

But yeah, I'm picking the Raptors. I just don't trust Harden and Doc in the playoffs, Embiid gets gassed from carrying too much of the load, and the Raps are just too brilliantly coached that they could make life hell for any team.

As you said, it's the long armed defenders that make it extremely tough for Embiid. He struggles mightily against the Raptors length.
Embiid said it himself that the Raptors are the toughest team for him to play against because they swarm him with length and double team him at the exact right times.

But yeah, you're definitely right about the coaching discrepancy. It's gonna play a big factor in this series.

Who wants to bet that Toronto steals Game 1 on the road?

Also, may god help Harden. I don’t think there’s a ghost of a chance that he shoots over 40% for this series.

Harden has to have a big series. Raptors can be stopped if Sixers zone them all game but if their offense falls off a cliff when Embiid sits they could lose this series.

Nurse vs Doc is already a GOAT headline.

Harden will be the difference. If he plays at an elite level Toronto won’t be able to keep up. But he’s going to have a hard time hunting mismatches with Toronto. I honestly have no idea who will win, I wouldn’t bet money on this series
