NAZIs (whooops, meant Russians) are bringing in an expereienced War Crimes general to get their atrocity stats up --- appearance of a new Russian general who at least in theory will be taking command of a Ukrainian invasion that up until now had no visible leadership at all. Aleksandr Dvornikov is said to have earned the favor of Russia's leadership through, bluntly, a campaign of war crimes in Syria,"

On one hand I can sympathize with some of these people, they just don't have a chance, too much money and influence lined up against them for it to be a fair fight. They consume so much right wing media that they begin to believe the lies, especially when it's the only information they get, they have no chance, none. If you put aside the racists, the truly mentally challenged, and that makes up for quite a large segment unfortunately, the other ones who believe the lies and favour the Republicans for the most part are voting against their own self interest. It's very sad to see this going on, the "them" "the elites" who are rigging everything and controlling their lives are the unbelievably wealthy minority whom they have absolutely nothing in common with and I do mean nothing. I've always said that it's far too easy to distract the average Joe away from the real important issues that affect their lives. So they're essentially being used as pawns by the .01% who's goal is to get even more political power so that they can avoid paying taxes, end all regulations and all accountability. It gets even worse, they are so ruthless and relentless that they are willing to bring down democracy to achieve their goals. It's all heading the wrong way and I can't for the life of me see how we turn it around.

The right has successfully used social/religious wedge issues on them. Now that it looks like Roe will be overturned this session, they’ve finally delivered for them. What’s next?

Saw on the news that Ukranian refugees are getting homes donated to them by the governor.

Meanwhile Hatian refugees get beaten at the border like slaves.

White liberalism at work.

Maybe more so European liberalism. This past week, a good friend from Poland, described how there is a refuge camp with hundreds upon hundreds of Syrian refugees on the border of Poland. They is a clandestine effort to provide donated clothes etc to them.

They have not been allowed to enter Poland and are stuck in no-mans land.

No foreign or local journalists are allowed in to report.

You know Poland has an extremely right wing government right? It’s the majority right wing across the world that attack immigrants and refugees and doubles down on nationalism at the exclusion of others.

This war is all that CNN covers to the exclusion of issues here at home. Not good.

Get ready for the genocide. Or really good work Putin is doing, some seem to think on here

https://snyder.substack.com/p/russias-genocide-handbook?s=r

As I have been saying since the war began, "denazification" in official Russian usage just means the destruction of the Ukrainian state and nation. A "Nazi," as the genocide manual explains, is simply a human being who self-identifies as Ukrainian. According to the handbook, the establishment of a Ukrainian state thirty years ago was the "nazification of Ukraine." Indeed "any attempt to build such a state" has to be a "Nazi" act. Ukrainians are "Nazis" because they fail to accept "the necessity that the people support Russia." Ukrainians should suffer for believing that they exist as a separate people; only this can lead to the "redemption of guilt."

True...a lot of the right wing government has utilized immigrants to create fear. At the same time, this shows there are people who believe that.

I'm way overloaded on compulsive required outrage scenarios. Everywhere I turn someone's touting another. In this very thread we've dragged in Syrians and Hatians and God knows who else.

Then there are the daily Putin Republican proto Nazis - Abbott, DeSantis, Cruiz, McConnell, Holley, GOD THE LIST GOES ON FOREVER - and I haven't even mentioned Gaetz or Greene or Loony Louie or the Orange Turd.

OVERLOAD.

So for now limiting concern to Ukraine War and Covid. Even latest chalkboard in Urkraine where Russians used school as hospital read "Forgive us, we didn't want this war." Reminder that even though I was at the point of "kill all Russians" there's a large number of ordinary Russian kids/ people swept up in Putin's megalomaniac fantasies who are just as innocent and scared as the Ukrainians.

Guess Nicholson was right; I can't handle the truth. :D
