Not trying to hang a division banner here, but congratulations still to the Celtics for winning one of these...

Hodgepodge player ranking. Five Celtics in the top 40.

Edit: it's four, I can't count.

This is Great.
It's actually 4 Celtics, right?

Grant, Theis, and PP will move up next season, I truly believe that. I think they already moved up a bit post-trade deadline.

In the last 8 games with Theis we have OffRtg 123 and DefRtg 110. If you include the previous 8 games with Rob it was 123.5 and 109. Pretty amazing how Theis has stepped in and team has adjusted to the difference without much change.

Here’s another perspective:
Jan: 112, 103
Feb: 116, 101
Mar: 121, 109
Apr: 130, 111

With Theis, one has to wonder….do the Nets have enough offensive firepower to keep up? Okay, admittedly they do ….but unlike last year we may have a potent enough offense to stay with them even when they get hot.

Surprising to see Desmond Bane in that list. He was drafted by the Celtics, then traded. :(

Question: What day is likely to be game 2?

Post#1568 » by olhado » Wed Apr 13, 2022 2:30 am

Thinking about picking up some tickets for game 2 at the Garden, but need to make sure Game 2 is on a night that I can go, and it is still listed as TBD.

Would it be expected to be on Tuesday? When would we be able to find out?

Kind of amazing there are no Bill Russell era teams in top 5 the way old farts complain about modern players and free throws.

This Celtics team ended up having one of the 10 highest SRS in Celtics history. 5th best in the last 49 years. Wow. Now, it doesn't guarantee postseason success but it's still shocking how dominant they've been the 2nd half of the season after being so mediocre in the 1st half.

Zoya or Comedian (anyone) can you tell me where to find players stats for first 41 vs second half? I want to see how much better our guys were after the troubled start. I tried looking, but I guess I can't word it well enough to find it broken down that way. Maybe I need Stats for dummies?!

Just use the date filter. I use Jan 14 as start of 2nd half.

Here's the final efficiency chart of the season. Last 15 games. C's had briefly fallen to #2 in defense but climbed back up to #1 to close things out.

#1 D, #1 O, #1 Net.
