If Rivers is fired, who would you want?

So unlikable.
It would have been great if a quick thinking reporter immediately asked if he'd be playing Reed against the Raptors' undersized bigs like stormi said.
Also, I hate the whole "I've been doing this a long time, trust in me" nonsense. Considering how much basketball strategy has evolved in the last decade, we now know that coaches and everyone else were doing it wrong for a long time and it didn't really change until computer nerds came in to challenge the status quo, likely the same type of guys that are championing for Reed now.
My profession experienced a very similar evolution in a similar time frame where computers were used to rapidly advance strategy that had remained fairly stagnant for decades. Most strategy from 10+ years ago is significantly outdated now, and the people that manage to stay ahead of the curve are the ones that are constantly re-evaluating their views, listening to outside opinions, learning from data, and embracing change.
Unfortunately, Doc doesn't seem to embody those characteristics and it's pretty wild that he would act so aggressively with the media in a spot where it would be so easy for him to just praise Reed's performance and his strengths that could be useful for the team going forward.
jonjames is a signature bet welcher.

Just trade him to the Lakers. For the Lakers, anything goes!

I'd be very happy with Joerger or Burke. Somehow can't see Cassell taking the job if Rivers is fired.

Promote Sam Cassel and bring Lloyd Pierce back as an assistant.

Maxey's the player he is right now because of his own hard work.
This.
I won't credit Glenn because if Simmons had stayed Maxey would still be fighting for bench minutes. He had no choice but to start Maxey because of how Shake was playing, and the kid balled out, then had to change his role on a dime when Harden was acquired, and still thrived. Sorry, Glenn doesn't get any credit for that.
Yeah, guys, you’re right.
I’m just trying to find anything positive about Doc before the playoffs starts.
But I can see myself in the first row of guys wanting Doc gone after we lose ECS or ECF.

The nightmare is we make it to the ecf based on luck or an insane Jo postseason and they keep Glenn.
He didn't use Paul either against a Cavs team that was playing Kevin Love at 5.
Look, is all right if the guy is covering his ass, but you don't have to be an **** while doing it.

Would never happen but I think Brown would be great on this team without the Simmons as PG and the eggshells he had to traverse around.

At the 2:40 second mark he pretty much confirms that he'll be playing Reed due to the matchup with the Raptors... Which then goes along with his admittedly snotty response about matchups and knowing more than the media.... Which is true yet unnecessary.

Re: The Official Fire Doc Rivers Thread
Twitter seems to think there's something to Doc to the Lakers. It'd be great to swindle an asset out of them in a trade for Doc but don't think they have anything worthwhile available to trade. At least you can get out from the contract so makes ownership more willing to pay good money to the next coach.

If we actually fleece an asset to get rid of Doc, it's the heist of the century!

Ironically, Rivers was the subject of a coach trade some 4 years ago lol

Guys don't be greedy. If Doc wants out of his contract we should do it. To be kind.

I'd love that, but just Glenn being gone and his contract off the books would be fine by me.

How does coach "trading" work. I know the Celtics technically got a FRP for Doc when he went to LA, but I can't seem to find the technicalities of that swap online.
