Doc Rivers is not happy with the Media asking him about Paul Reed getting more minutes

Ι feel like every interview with Doc is basically media beating around the bush because they don't want to ask him directly the question they really want to ask him: "are you actually a terrible coach?" lol

The mutual disrespect / tension is real lol.

I disagree with Doc about this specific lineup of Jo with Paul, despite his NBA experience. The game is changing, and the Raptors play positionless basketball (bit still behind in terms of talent... for now).

Joel, James, Niang & Paul is this teams best lineup for this matchup imo

Doc is starting to feel the pressure. He knows if he doesn't succeed this year with Embiid/Harden, he's gone. His scapegoat in Simmons is gone, so who will he blame this year if it doesn't go right?

He'll probably get one more year. It's really difficult to win a championship when you shake up the roster that much mid-season. Maybe I'm wrong and things can happen in the playoffs and offseason that we don't see coming but barring that, I don't see them ditching Doc.

There has to be more to this coach... I mean, I missed the Celtics title run so I haven't actually seen his good days, but with so many people speaking highly of him there has to be something there, right? I struggle to see it personally but maybe it's just me.

It's even more mind-boggling that Morey signed him in the first place because Mr Analytics should know better. I almost wonder if Doc was like "if you're gonna trade my son-in-law then I want you to sign my old friend DeAndre to fill in for Drummond". It just doesn't make sense.

He's on Westbrick levels of copium at this point. He knows this roster can't win, and knows when this roster inevitably implodes, it's gonna be on his head. Morey thinks Harden is a god amongst men, so he aint gonna be blamed.

So stupid. The guy coached an insanely big 3 (and a young Rondo) with great role players, and was a favorite all year but barely winning it all due to all the game 7s they could have easily choked on. Yet somehow, the media is stretching that title so freaking much, to a point of making Doc looking like Gregg Poppovich in the eyes of the public, when really, he’s an inch over Byron Scott.

Such a weird legacy so manufacturly built for him.
