jpalm24 wrote:Pelton didn't confirm it on the Pod. He said he's leaning Mobley due to adjusted plus/minus off even tho Cavs are better when he's on the bench lol blah blah, but he had not decided. He also said my spicy take was Barnes over Mobley, but now I'm sure anymore.
Lowe said Mobley D best quality of all rookies, but Barnes is close and he played 250 mins more. Now 250 mins isn't a lot, but if it's close, it can be the deciding factor. I don't know where I'm going.
Also, Pelton's logic makes 0 sense lol smhvulture wrote:LoveMyRaps wrote:
Do you have a source on Pelton?
Rose hasn't confirmed that he voted for Cade.
Bontemps said Mobley was his front runner on March 24th, no update since. Waiting for him to confirm as well.
Pelton confirmed on the lowe post on Friday towards the end of the podcast.
That's true! Pelton basically made no sense just picking one stat to show which way he was leaning.

Why can't it just be co-ROY? Everyone is happy, it's not like missing out on the MVP.

Re: Official Scottie Barnes Thread 3
Update: 4:20pm EST
Scottie Barnes:
1. Dan Devine
2. Stephen A Smith
3. Kendrick Perkins
4. Jared Greenberg
5. Doug Smith
6. Zach Harper
7. Mike Greenberg
8. Bill Simmons
9. Kevin O'Connor
10. Chris Kirschner
11. Howard Beck
12. Chris Herring
Evan Mobley:
1. Lisa Hsu (Not confirmed voter, but has voting history)
2. Bill Reiter (Not confirmed voter, but has voting history)
3. Kurt Helin
4. Eric Nehm
5. KC Johnson
6. Chris Mannix
7. Jalen Rose
Cade Cunningham:
1. Ryan Russillo
2. Michael Pina
Mobley catching up a bit.
KC Johnson (who is not included in that google docs file) put his awards out today. His reasoning for having Mobley #1 is that he had a greater impact on a younger team.
Lol, we're actually the younger team...
I'll forgive him because he did give Siakam an All-NBA nod. I'm starting to believe Siakam is gonna make the All-NBA team. He's been getting more votes than Butler. KC Johnson also gave Fred an All-Defensive nod.
1:47pm EST update: I added Beck, Mannix, and Herring votes from Sports Illustrated.

The people picking Cade 1st are picking Barnes 2nd, so that's fine as long as Barnes is ahead of Mobley on their list .

I have a hard time believing that. He’s a notorious Raptors hater. (He’s a big Celtics fan)

Yes. Chris Herring revealed his official ballot on the SI Open Floor podcast (that he hosts with Michael Pina who voted for Cade).
Howard Beck and Chris Mannix have a history of voting as well.

Thanks for the update!
I think most of the voters who didn't vote for Barnes still gave him second. As long as Scottie has 40-45 1st place votes, he wins it.

There's maybe a handful of dudes that actually know what theyre doing with their votes. The rest are dummies.
That's how you know the voting system is flawed

Jalen Rose just said on Jalen and Jacoby that he voted for Evan Mobley rewarding winning over points.

Lol smh. He does realize Raps finished ahead of the Cavs in the standings right?
Cavs literally went in free fall post All-Star break, while the Raptors shot up the standings. SMH
What sucks is that he probably gave Cade the second place vote as well. Fk Jalen.

He loves Barnes, but he felt Cade had the hardest job this season which is fair.

Yea I can understand why he doesn't value points. I would try to downplay them too if someone dropped 81 on my headTNRaps4life wrote:Jalen Rose just said on Jalen and Jacoby that he voted for Evan Mobley rewarding winning over points.

It is fair but not accurate at all. Mobley had Allen to aid his defense and Garland to feed him on offense. Barnes play all 5 positions at times and often got the toughest defensive assignment. I like Russilo and respect his opinion but disagree with this being the reason to choose Mobley. It is ok to choose Mobley over Barnes in general. I really don't care that much about awards either. just saying have a more valid reason.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

He has Barnes second and Mobley third. He’s a notorious Lowry and Siakam hater though.
