Man, how do you even end up on 595 as a pedestrian?
Heartbroken for Haskins family, 24 going on 25 is just too young.

His parents live about 3 miles from me. I can't imagine...

Apparently he was having car trouble and left his vehicle, man, this is so sad.
A colleague of mine was struck and killed on the shoulder of I95 in South Florida after his motorcycle broke down.
Really the worst drivers down there in Florida and nobody ever gets held accountable for their inattentiveness either.

Rest in piece young man. Rooted for the kid despite all the rough moments. Wanted to see him succeed. Just awful.

Saints receive:
No. 16 in 2022 (from Colts via Eagles)

That Saints 2023 1st rounder could be very valuable - no protection. Philly taking advantage of the leverage they had from having multiple 1st rounders in this year's draft.
Even if the Saints outperform and they slip a few spots - they still get enough other picks to make up for that. The 101 could be a nice bonus in this draft and getting a second 2 years out lets them keep rolling the advantage of extra good picks into the future.

Re: The Washington Football Team Thread
Many years ago there was another Redskins player or former player who was struck and killed. I believe his name was tank McClinton and I as I recall one of his children a son played basketball for the University of Maryland if ever so brieflyverbal8 wrote:queridiculo wrote:Apparently he was having car trouble and left his vehicle, man, this is so sad.

Another story is that 1 day when I went to Bowie University apparently there was a person with my same name that was struck and killed and traffic and when I got to school one of my friends thought I had been killed
I feel like Dwayne Haskins was blessed by God to achieve a lot in life and to have class but to survive enough to get a second chance with Pittsburgh
He died very young and so many people hated on that kid with too much energy and I just hope it was not a suicide

RIP. Was such a shock to hear this.
I could fully understand if he parked off to the side of the road, maybe didn't give much thought to his positioning, and was hit immediately upon getting out. That's kind of how I imagined it happening. Really confused by the fact that it happened with him apparently walking across the highway. I'm sure we'll get more details soon.

Yeah, he's gone. It's an Old Boys Club and they protect their own, but once Danny starts messing with their money, they'll turn on him. The player's association should sue for the hidden revenue even if it amounts to a few dollars per player. The PR hit was bad enough when Danny was just poisonous to women and his own employees, but if he can walk away with a smirk on his fat face from this one, then any other team can cook their books as well.

Re: The Washington Football Team Thread
When I was about 33 my military career was coming to a screeching halt and my 1st ex-wife just up and left in kind of a shittyway...I almost drove my car onto a train track in the path of a moving train. Didn't exit the vehicle...but I wasn't really THINKING rational... I just know I was a young guy who did not realize how much good things were left in my lifeDark Faze wrote:RIP. I don't know why Haskins was there and I'm trying not to think about it because we can't do anything at this point but speculate

Re: The Washington Football Team Thread
Nothing is going to happen to Snyder. All that happens is that he pays the owners back with interest, pay the county owed fees and penalties, and they move on. Unless were talking billions of dollars that he can't possibly pay back, I highly doubt that anything of note happens to the Snyder in relation to ownership of the team.
With that being said, anyone who supports this team with his/her wallet is a fool. I follow the team because of a nostaligic attachment, but I am not buying merch, attending games, or even watching the games on a way that it gets counted as a view. There is so much rot in the front office, that it's embarassing to even say you're a fan.

Like the commanders name is so tone deaf it is silly. The WFT had a soccer club feel too it and felt good. All this cheesey take command marketing is also tone deaf. It's just pathetic.TGW wrote:Nothing is going to happen to Snyder. All that happens is that he pays the owners back with interest, pay the county owed fees and penalties, and they move on.
