3 years at 36 million. I was not a fan of giving this guy a guaranteed 3rd year, but apparently other teams were in the talks to sign him also, so the Jays had to give the third year. As the 5th starter, just need this guy to eat up innings for us all year. Not expecting spectacular things from him to be honest, given his struggles in the second half of last year.

This umpire is trash. Looks like he’s giving Cortez a bigger strike zone than kikuchi.

The Jansen injury is going to be a serious issue for this team until Moreno is called up.

There is an issue with service time manipulation, but I would prefer to see Moreno up here sooner than later, instead of giving playing time to the minor league catcher we have behind the plate tonight. Tyler Heineman has done a poor job also of framing certain pitches, causing Kikuchi to be squeezed on several calls by the umpire.

Could have easily subbed Biggio or Zimmer in and made Kirk the catcher. Just boneheaded.

That ball never touched Espinal’s bat btw. Huge call in this game potentially with Springer coming up and Montoyo didn’t even bother to argue.

Awful managing by Charlie literally makes no sense. Even if we didn't want Kirk catching at all tonight you got 3 bench bats you could use then put Collins at catcher if you REALLY want. But Collins batting???

Moreno made his first appearance for Buffalo tonight. Got two hits off Aaron Sanchez. Also, apparently made an impressive catch and threw out a base runner. Also lined out to CF and LF. No idea how hard those balls were hi, but sounds like he could easily have another hit or two.

The Jays actually got him for his hitting potential. He hasn’t hit in the majors, but he’s raked in the minors throughout his minor league career.

Phelps, Merryweather and Mayza looked good if we want to take any positives. Yankee stadium is a dour place to watch baseball on TV as well as in person.

Hopefully the A's can break this tie with Tampa for another silver lining (yes, I am scoreboard watching in April, every game counts the same!)

I am not clear on his service time requirements, but hopefully Moreno is up here in May, and Tyler Heineman is sent packing back to the minors. I know it was one game, but he did a horrible job framing the pitches, causing Kikuchi to be squeezed by the umpire on
several calls. There is a reason why at 30 years old, Tyler has been a career minor leaguer after being on the minor league roster of 7 other teams in his career.

Should I get a Guerrero, Bichette, Manoah or Springer jersey? Hmm. Right now Springer or Manoah leads for me with the way they’ve played in this series thus far

Why are you making that decision based on one series? All of these guys will have hot and cold stretches this year.
