Leonard hasn't progressed all season. Hate to say it but I think we got lucky not signing him. The team would be different and we definitely wouldn't have Barnes.

I'd say similar to Derrick White last year, say you extend Boucher, Boucher at the deadline, 2023 first, Flynn and future pick swap.

I think the thing you really look back is the 19/20 season and a possible repeat.

Beyond that it's all really cloudy with the Tampa season, torn ACL etc.

That's the thing, would you take 2 seasons of Kawhi instead of 1, two titles back to back and then he goes home?. I would, even knowing we'd now be one year behind where we are and no Scottie.

I guess it depends on the contract he got from us. If it was a super-max, multi-year contract then no. If it's for one year and then go to LA then probably. We would've definitely won the bubble title. Hell we were close to winning it without Kawhi. But after that he's not been healthy and we would be getting old.

Yeah the 2020 season was such a bad deal. Damn covid. I enjoyed watching that team as much as the 2019 champs. I was annoyed we didn't do anything to replace Kawhi, but looking back I guess what happened is we plugged OG into his place. Which was great, we just didn't restock the bench well enough

I like that. Rather make a move this summer, but next year we could see how close we are and make that deadline move. And still be even better for 2024

Bruno as our stretch 5 next year. He's been killing it in Brazil. MVP of BCL Americas Championship. He's the best player on one of the best teams in Brazil. I don't know how the competition stacks up but from the eye test, he looks way bigger than all of our players and his handle is greatly improved and he can stay with guards on the perimeter and he can shoot off the bounce.

He's ready.

Some NBA team should pick him up. Obviously, I think it should be us. Bury the hatchet Masai. He'd put us in contender status next year with the development of everyone else. He could be our version of Timelord with better shooting, and maybe a bit worse rim protection.

Having to defend our title in the damn bubble then playing an entire season in Tampa was a really bad deal. I feel like it doesn’t get talked about enough

This team finally coming home to play in a playoff series in front of our fans for the first time since winning a championship will be a feel good moment

It's poor competition. He couldn't make it in the NBA until last year and is averaging 24/11/3 in Brazil.

Norms defense in the play in was awful. I feel like his 1 on 1 defense has regressed badly.

Vince Carter was on the NBA Today show and was wondering how Kyrie will respond to all the vitriol in Boston, comparing it to when he had to play the Raptors in the playoffs.

For some reason Perkins and Malika Andrews didn't think Vince went through anything comparable to what Kyrie has already experienced in his returns to Boston.

VC was visually perplexed but Richard Jefferson was also on the show so RJ backed up what VC said.

Starts at the 4:41 mark.

It was tough for sure but it does get talked about. Matt Devlin runs down the litany of the bubble and Tampa every single game

NBA.com has an article on their website posted April 14 where 5 staff writers list their picks for All-NBA.

https://www.nba.com/news/trending-topics-all-nba-picks-2021-22

All five writers pick DeMar DeRozan for 2nd or 3rd team, but only two writers have DeRozan as a Chicago Bull. The other three have him playing for the Raptors.

:o

Update: NBA.com fixed the error on the above story within 48 hours.
