Feels like the Clippers are getting every 50-50 call.

In the future, I'm hopeful the "rank" of options will be Ant/Towns/D-Lo, I think that's a good formula for the future. Maybe a nice draft pick steps up and takes that #2 spot from KAT, but with the team as it is now, this is how I see it.

My 2 main takeaways from this game:

1) This game is being reffed ridiculously soft for a (quasi) playoff game
AND
2) Even in a soft ass game like this KAT still stands out as the softest
(Sorry Minny fans he seems like a nice guy and I hate to say it but when it gets physical he acts entitled and whines inatead of putting his head down and going harder)

You're talking like most things aren't going their way already

Even if Towns is soft as tissue paper, TWolves are getting killed by the refs.

I'm a huge Siakam fan but I bet you Toronto would him for KAT in a second. KAT next to Barnes and OG would be pretty nice and he shores up a lot of Toronto's offensive weaknesses.

Never understood the hype about KAT.

If he was that good, Timberwolves would've made the playoffs consistently.

You can't build a championship team around a limited defense center as a 3rd option. Vuc is a prime example.

He got rekt by Clint Capela the last time

https://www.basketball-reference.com/playoffs/2018-nba-western-conference-first-round-timberwolves-vs-rockets.html

Clint rekt Rudy the next round too. Kat and Rudy are one in the same in that way. After Jokic and Embiid theres a gigantic dropoff in center play

Exactly. I do think the borderline calls have mostly gone LA's way in this one*. But the ref gave KAT a totally free foul and he went and committed another. If the refs don't call that there LA would be at an enormous disadvantage because the refs are signaling they aren't going to foul him out.

*Not a conspiracy theorist. Calls even out over a large sample but in a single game they don't.

Yeah it's clear Edwards is the clear #1 option on this team for the foreseeable future. I love his game, super athletic, explosive, and has a good stroke. With some more polish on when to attack and how to use his speed and explosiveness to get to the line and slash at will, he'll be a perennial all star for sure. IMO and this might be a hot take, I'd see what KAT can field on the market to see if you can get a more mobile defensive big, I mean KAT is mobile for his size but defensively I don't like what I see.
