While the refs have been bad....Towns only has that to blame on himself, if you're ACTUALLY watching the game you would see how ridiculously outta control PlayIn Towns has looked, just bad decision after bad decision, looks completely shook out there.

They probably have a top 10 coach in the league...

I was gonna say, coaching is probably the main reason we are even playing right now. It's basically the same roster as last year, but twice the wins this year.

The myth you need to save it for end of games is so dumb rooted in the myth of the 4th Q. If LA wins this game it will be probably because of their dominant 1st Q/3rd Q.

Agreed it's probably the most obvious market inefficiency in the league today imo.

The trouble with this perspective is that basketball points are not entirely independent. Using your challenge earlier illicits a different response from your own team and the opposing team. This perspective is solid if you take into account the chance that an iffy call might not happen late in games, or the game might not be close in the first place. But there's no question that in a close game, late possessions are inherently much more valuable. Here's a way to get a sense of why: you have a card that if you play guarantees your team 3 points. Would you use it at the beginning of the game to make it 3-0, or save it for the end?

The playoffs will let you know which guys you can count on. Scouting reports are dialed in to a whole different level.

KAT will be fine if he ever gets a frontcourt partner that teams respect offensively

even against Houston in his horrible 2018 playoffs, he had his normal production the last three games once Wolves started going small with Wiggins/injured Butler at PF rather than Taj Gibson all the time

If I'm Minny I'm taking that deal tbh.
Siakam more versatile and his game is more scalable to the playoffs imo.

I mean yeah put Pascal in this game right now alongside Ant and Dlo and the Wolves are actually scary

Kat is just extraordinarily soft mentally, in the playoffs you'll always take a baller over a loser
The talent disparity is huge, Kat is a much better player than Siakam in an imaginary hypotethical game
but in reality..You'd take almost any1 over Towns...doesn't have to be some1 as good as Siakam

It was a clear hook up to his buddy Balmer. Similar to when the Celtics got KG from Minny because of the McHale-Ainge connection.

Yikes.

I wonder what you'd have thought about the likes of Ryan Saunders, Randy Wittman, Sam Mitchell, Sidney Lowe... or GASP... Kurt Rambis.

A team with offensive talent such as the T-Wolves shouldn't be struggling to score..

Ya KAT has no one to blame except for himself for this game. Settling for horrible shots, forcing bad shots, throwing fits, obvious fouls, and just straight up unbelievably dumb plays.

Reggie Miller still salty about the Tayshaun block, clearly.
