I guess it’s technically a “series” win. But the crying from bev is a bit much

Memphis 4-0 over these clowns
Maybe. But context...
You have to understand just how terrible the franchise has been for most of 30+ years.
It's literally the worst franchise in NBA history.

Agreed. Life is too short to not enjoy the ride.

Lol good for Minneapolis but wtf with the tears haha. As I watched that game I thought to myself that the Bucks or Suns would absolutely wipe the floor with them. Jesus. It’s like two different leagues.

Norm had the 2nd highest +/- on the team and watching the game I felt like he should have played more than 26 mins. I know Ty Lue is an elite coach but I think he overlooked Norms impact.
As an example Mann was a -16 in 15 minutes.

Lemme be as kind as possible with this. Ain’t nobody scared of KAT
Also regular season series doesn’t mean ****
If you're basing your opinion on just this game you've got a lot to learn buddy. Minnesota just proved that if your game plan is to shut down KAT they have more than enough. You need to double/triple team KAT and now you're seeing that there's other weapons.
Lol this isn’t based on just this game. KAT is widely known as one of the most soft guys in the league. Nobody is scared of him. Just look at how Embiid b*tched him

I’m sure Towns will be better. He should be very thankful to his team for giving a whole series to redeem himself.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

The myth you need to save it for end of games is so dumb rooted in the myth of the 4th Q. If LA wins this game it will be probably because of their dominant 1st Q/3rd Q.
Agreed it's probably the most obvious market inefficiency in the league today imo.
The trouble with this perspective is that basketball points are not entirely independent. Using your challenge earlier illicits a different response from your own team and the opposing team. This perspective is solid if you take into account the chance that an iffy call might not happen late in games, or the game might not be close in the first place. But there's no question that in a close game, late possessions are inherently much more valuable. Here's a way to get a sense of why: you have a card that if you play guarantees your team 3 points. Would you use it at the beginning of the game to make it 3-0, or save it for the end?
Ben Taylor addresses this in his book, "Thinking Basketball," and makes a compelling mathematical argument that saving it wouldn't actually be better. While it's true that the end of the game is a more high leverage situation, the later you use the "free points card" the less amount of time, as a percentage of the game, you enjoy the points.
I don't think his argument fully addresses all the psychological aspects, but regardless, that's not my argument vis a vis coaches challenges.
I think if a team invested properly, they could win a challenge in roughly 1/3 of the games, rather than having maybe a handful of times during a season where saving your challenge pays off.
"I'd rather have Kevin Love spacing out to the three point line than anything (Karl) Malone brings"

I have no problem with how excited the Wolves players are. But with that said, I am laughing my ass off watching people clown them. It is pretty funny haha.

We've had two visits to the playoffs since KG. For us, this IS the championship.
So much weird, entitled bitterness in this thread. The better team won, despite an awful game from their star and Ed Malloy's shady officiating. Get over it. Lord knows we've had to, year after year.

looks like they just earned a lot more nationally televised games next year too. anyone who has been following minny the last few months knows they're a good team.

Meanwhile KD barely cared.
They were title favorites when they had Harden and Joe Harris. Not the sad team that exists today.
Never in my life have I seen a team celebrate that was over making the playoffs.
Its pathetic and sad. They did what they were supposed to do.
