REALLY chewed his ass out

As Bart Scott once said to Rashard Mendenhall: “too late rookie”

Celtics are gonna stew on that one all week. Durant knows it too

As Bart Scott also once said “Can’t wait”.

Don’t know about horford though, but brown is right about Theis. Rob is a huge factor at altering shots inside.

Bruce Brown can attack theis if he wants to..

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Celtics in 6. The Nets defense just looks so bad that it'd be a shame if our humming offense of late couldn't take advantage of it. KD and Kyrie would have to outscore our team, but I trust our defense to somehow limit them a bit.

I expect Jaylen to cook this series. The Nets are gonna go hard at Tatum on defense, and he's gonna have to make the right play almost every time and JB has to capitalize on that. Our role players need to hit whatever open shot they get. White finding his stroke the past few weeks is also gonna be huge for us.

I hope Simmons play early. Hack a ben! Hack a Ben! Surely he would **** their offense.

Not enough defense on this Brooklyn team. People keep comparing them to last year but I just don't think they're as good this season.

Celtics in 6. Good luck ya'll. See you in the ECF.

I'm more worried about the refs...they gonna foul out Theis in the first quarter.

I hope you're right because it would be really depressing if the Celts exit in the 1st round after an excellent regular season.

Game 5 would be 4 weeks after Rob's surgery. Would it be too much to ask if he can come back for game 3?

I don't like us (fans) being cocky, just a couple of months ago we had some terrible habbits. Hopefully s*** doesn't hit the fan and we revert back to those habbits. If the Cs are mentally at 100% and trust each other we'll win this series, but i never count out KD.

The Nets aren't a real 7 seed though. They had a stretch where injuries took their toll and they went 3-17. This is a top team in the east and probably the worst draw for the Celtics. I'm not sure I'd favor them with Rob let alone without him. But the Celtics do have more than a punchers chance in this one. For sure.

It would have been a sweep if Rob was healthy. Now I say 5 games. They win 1 out of the 2 in Brooklyn and we close it out at home.

"It starts with really slowing JT down," Nets guard Kyrie Irving said. "He has a great feel playing against us, and everyone else around is very complementary to that attack; and when JT's getting doubled, Marcus Smart is pushing the pace, he's playing well hitting shots. Al Horford's dominating the offensive rebounds, and Daniel Theis filling in for Robert Williams, it's big."

How do the Nets plan to slow down Tatum? Durant knows that's easier said than done.

"That's a tough question," Durant said. "He's one of those players you just got to play hard and see what happens. He's just so talented and skilled and efficient at what he does. We gotta just play hard -- and I expect us to."

I expect to see a lot Claxton this series, since Drummond is almost exclusively a drop guy. If Tatum is hitting his threes, drop isn’t a viable option for them. Jaylen and company don’t just need to make their shots off of Tatum traps, they all need to make quick decisions off the catch. I expect a ton of White/Smart at the top of the key as the escape valve, then either kick it out to Jaylen, or throw it up to Al/Theis. Though Rob could be back by game 4/5, he looks awesome apparently.

I respect/fear the **** out of KD, but scheme/style wise, this is a good matchup for the Celtics. The last time the Celtics lost to a bad defensive team was almost two months ago, and Al/Smart were both out. The stat nerd in me wants to say Celtics in 5, but Kyrie and obviously Durant can just overwhelm you with tough shot making, so I’ll say Celtics in 6. Final answer.

Edit: I will add that I want nothing to do with KD in a game 7, I think we’d lose that game TBH.
