He would be a killer in the PJ role as a small ball 5. 6'6" 250 l(ol)bs but can really move and is pretty athletic. Great ballhandler and passer, shoots well from 3, competes harder than anyone on both ends, Giannis would LOVE him. Struggled against Michigan in the tourney, not sure he's worth our 1st, but would happily buy a 2nd to get him.

He reminds me so much of Dillon Brooks at Oregon, but 250 lbs. All that midpost work, passing, ambidextrous stuff, underrated athleticism.

Haven't watched a minute of Adriatic League ball this year, but this dude certainly has some intriguing traits.

I was watching this video like "if he's 7'2", how big is that teammate that seems to be the same size?"

It's his twin brother who averaged more rebounds and assists while also making 3's at a decent clip (though not nearly the volume).

Give me Gillespie with that late 2nd we will inevitably end up with.

So who do we like at 24?

I think I want to draft a guard. Didn't watch much college basketball this year but Tyty Washington and Kennedy Chandler caught my eye.

Would love to try to move up for TyTy. Chandler is a great college player, but he's just too small.

It's a tough range to project, as guys like Branham/Jovic/Hardy/Brown could just as easily be there at 24 as they could go Top-15.

Knowing Horst, he will likely deal the pick-- however we don't have solid salary filler to attach to it in a trade, unless we part with Lopez, which makes it a tough spot for ol' Horsty boy.

I would personally be talking to the Knicks about taking on trash salary to move up to 11. Lopez+Hill+24 for Fournier+11 or something to move up and grab TyTy for example.

I just want a wing in the first round who can grow into a shot creator so the cupboard isn't bare when the changing of the guard occurs. We haven't come close to looking at anything of that ilk since Vaughn in 2015.

A little short for a wing, but Hardy is probably our best shot at 'that guy' in our range.

I admittedly have not watched a ton of draft guys yet this year, but based on reading about some of them, the guys I've circled in pencil around our spot are:

- Marjon Beauchamp
- EJ Liddell
- Walker Kessler
- David Roddy

Beauchamp in particular is interesting to me. Shot like crap in the G-League this year (8/33 on mostly open 3 pointers, but shot 41/103 from 3 in JuCo. Showed some decent playmaking chops in JuCo before being second fiddle to the G-League guards as well. And even against the G-League competition, he was an efficient overall scorer because he just lived at the rim (and that was the case in JuCo as well; he shot 64.4% from 2 point range across the past two years, including 68% in the G-League). Decent free throw shooter too at 75% the last two years. He just seems like an all-around very good prospect that's slipped because of how poorly he shot the ball this season.

I also love that he was known throughout high school for being a lazy defender and he's now a high-effort and effective defensive player with the G-League team. That, to me, shows a willingness to take constructive criticism and improve on it that you're always looking for with these guys.

Ryen Russillo's direct quote on Hardy: "My least favorite draft profile I've written out yet". I don't like him either personally. Just throws up crap that has no chance of going in half the time and doesn't seem to be a very good athlete either. Inefficient offense, lackluster defense, more turnovers than assists, and doesn't have the athleticism to excite me. I don't think he'd be a projected draft pick if not for the high school hype.

Take a flyer on Baldwin Jr. Would be a high upside pick, could compliment Giannis once Khris and Jrue are done.

My hot take today is that Jalen Duren should be in the convo for #1.

There's only one honest prospect evaluation of PBJ and it's something along the lines of:

"He's either Rashard Lewis, or he's Henry Ellenson..."

PBJ was brutal against talent he should have dominated against and already has plenty of injury concern. I'd rather grab a guy who can play than one who might have a higher ceiling.
