I gotta say out of all the 1st rd series THIS is the one I need to see!
There's very few times you'll see a 1st rd matchup where both teams can get to the Finals....and potentially win it.

I love this post from Boston a fan...
They want to double off Ben leaving him open "with zero fear of him doing anything"
I love his logic!
Nets' in 6[/quote]
Yea I said what I said ZERO fear of him doing anything if the Celtics double off Ben.
Like his aforementioned 1 point masterpiece he put together in the last series we played him.
Or last year when rim protection maven Danilo Gallonari deterred him from a wide open dunk.

I think most here will actually agree on this one thing, I cannot wait for this damn series to start. KD and Tatum going at it is nothing but awesome, then the Kyrie/Boston factor, and the best defense in the league against two of the best tough shot makers we will ever see.

Nets could have been the actual #1 seed, but I would not dismiss what the Celtics did over their 47 game turnaround. This matchup could easily be ECF quality, and we are getting in the first round.

My understanding was that he converted to Islam last year. Is there some reason to believe it wasn't sincere or whole hearted? I haven't really been following Kyrie's personal life other than his vaccination drama.

That would depend on whether you also see the Nets as a 'serious contender'.
Many do. That being the case, I'll be happy with a series win, regardless of score.

I took it as the 2nd haha.
Can be highly dependant on who said it. Mills has a leadership role within the Australian team, and is a respected voice on many levels here. If it was him, for example, I could easily see it in terms of mentoring.

My general rule of thumb with Kyrie is that he's sincere in the moment, but changes his mind a lot.

Re: Eastern Conference | Round 1 | (2) Boston Celtics vs. (7) Brooklyn Nets
Just not sure how the Nets even matchup with the Celtics on defense without Simmons playing a major role.
Kyrie - Smart
Curry - Brown
Brown - Tatum
Durant - Theis
Drummond - Horford
You would assume Brown and Durant would be the one's primarily defending Tatum/Brown...but that leaves one of Curry or Irving on a center. They could go to their bench to match up better but not sure Claxton/Drummond works offensively and their (only?) bench wing is a second round rookie.
Offensively, Durant and Kyrie can potentially get theirs but Smart, Brown, White, Tatum, etc.... that's tough. And besides them, who else is capable of consistently providing offense for the Nets?
Think it would take an incredible series from KD (on offense and defense for him) and Kyrie for the Nets to win this one.

The Celtics switch everything so individual matchups are less important.

?? Where is this 12.2 point differential coming from? It's 7.3 per game

He fasted during Ramadan last year, and he's fasting during Ramadan this year. It's not that complicated, guys.LewisnotMiller wrote:Slax wrote:TinmanZBoy wrote:
