The good thing about this long break is hopefully the team gets healed up from the bumps and bruises of small ball. There will likely be no Yurt sightings in the playoffs this year, probably no Morris either. It’s going to be small ball till the end. Guys like Drob are going to have to hustle every minute.

The Heat need to win this series in five and heal up for round 2. If the series goes long, they’re going to have a rough time.

Is Dedmon still hurt?
Don’t truly care for Butler as a C/PF, but I guess it depends on the opposition. Against Philly or Bucks, I’ll rather have true bigs by committee (Bam, Dedmon, Yurt, or even Morris)

I think this is a Yes and No answer to the Duncan issue.

The reason I say that like that is we won a ton of games where Duncan was absolute trash and then looked really good in the ones he was hitting. The increase in production from Struss, Gabe, Caleb in the 3pt realm has kind of negated Duncan a bit. Additionally the aggressive version of Lowry in the last 10 games to finish the season has also been the improvement we needed on that end which has allowed us to beat the good teams with his scoring production almost tripling.

However none of those guys outside of maybe Lowry & perhaps Struss a little bit right now have the gravitational pull that Duncan produces. This is earned through continued 3pt efficiency and success through a couple seasons. Struss if he goes super nova this playoffs will start getting that type of coverage next year. I suspect he will get it in the playoffs this year to a degree, early in the game if he goes cold they may back off of him since he hasn't garnered that 3pt Destroyer aura.

This is Duncan's opportunity since I doubt the opposing bench will hunt him like the starters used to. He can be relief valve for the bench, Herro is becoming really good at finding the open man, but Duncan needs to hit them. There was definitely something he worked on this offseason that derailed his killer shooting. His volume was still there overall I mean he hit 200 plus threes, just the efficiency was bad for his standards. Could the first couple of season's have been an aberration and he is coming back down to earth as in regression to the mean ( Getting into his natural averages ). well lets hope he goes super nova these playoffs and we can unload him for a decent return next year.

Miami will rely on 3pt shooting all the time, its what makes their offense flow. Both Bam and Jimmy need a lot of spacing, so PJ, Lowry, Struss need to keep everyone in check and hitting them 3's a decent clip for that starting unit. Our bench seems to be a lot better at creating space since most of those guys can hit from about any where. Shoot even Dedmon will hit an open 3pt here and there.

Neither of these teams are pushovers.....but the Cavs especially can give us the kind of trouble I don't want in the first round. If Allen comes back, the Cavs collectively have the size to bother us a pretty good deal with Mobley/Love/Markkanen/Moses Brown....and Garland is legit. Regardless of who it is, we need to be on our game.

Duncan ought to be in the 'break in case of an emergency' lane.

Dipo was resigned basically for the playoffs and ought to be getting those minutes.

It makes sense for Cleveland to bring him in even if at 60%, this is a win or go home situation against the hawks.

Now we have peeps on ESPN all saying that Atlanta is even with Miami in terms of talent. That Atlanta has another gear in the playoffs that Miami doesn't have. That Trae is the best player in the series and Miami won't be able to contain him....are they just trying to hype the series up so people watch...???? These people are insane.....anyways I guess it's short term memory with people. Miami got swept last year and Atlanta went all the way to the conference finals so they are somehow the better team regardless of what happens in the regular season.

Bitches be crazy, ICC.

I mentioned in last night's game that Hunter was the catalyst for the Hawks blowing the Hornets out. Dude had a ton of points in the third quarter. Hawks just pulled away due to that. I think Trae was 3 for 15 or something at the time. I said that ESPN would give credit to Trae for that, and lo and behold, the next day the headline is "Trae's strong performance leads Hwaks over Hornets!!!". The narratives are crazy. Fantasy becomes reality.

And people think I’m out of place for saying we don’t ever get near the respect we deserve.

The players, team, executives, coaches, etc. everything is just some narrative against it to try and say we’re not as good as the record shows or something. It’s why we’re consistently shafted at the end of the year rewards. The media must be sick they have no choice but to give Herro 6MOY that’s why you’re seeing these false narrative pop up per usual.

I mean **** what’s the point in even winning the title when you know there’s just going to be a million asterisks next to it?

IN. Let's go and kick whoever we gonna play.
I think the Cavs, considering how big they are with Allen now back can give us some hard times. More then ATL

7 day break from games after a long stretch of home games post all star break. I’m expecting this team to be running at peak efficiency.
