Not a single local media beat writer from the US has voted for Scottie.... not a single one.
All because of the lack of coverage the Raptors get down in the states.
They pay zero attention to what this team does or what kind of season our players are having.
They have zero clue about who Scottie is, and they're basing their votes solely off the dumb "Mobley is the ROTY" narrative the US media has been shoving down our throats all season long.

They're not all in. You can bet on the Nets, Lakers, Celtics and other teams he had big games against to vote for him.

The votes were due from Monday. Anything Mobley does tomorrow has no reflection on ROTY.

It’ll be a farce if Scottie doesn’t win it. But like Nas said, sooner or later we’ll all see who the prophet is. Scottie gonna be the better player in the long run.

Scottie Barnes should win it but with the US Media, you never know...what will separate SB from the rest of them is his versatility & ways in which he can impact the game doesn't have to score 30 points - he is Ben Simmons with a work ethic & the desire to be the best, something you can't coach - Ben Simmons is just content with what he is doing - aka Vince Carter type - unlimited potential but didn't achieve the greatness that was expected

On the bright side, if he doesn't win, hopefully it gets him even more motivation to work and improve this offseason.

I will trade ROY for a 10-15% better sophomore season.

Yep, said the same thing, either way its a win-win. Barnes is clearly a competitor and will look to prove the league wrong.

Mobley will probably win it by a hair. Even still we got one of the best young players in the league!

Hasn't yet been put into the spreadsheet, where Scottie's leading by 6 points. I think he would still be leading by 2 points once that result is in there.

Disappointed in Bontemps. He normally respects the Raptors.

Bomtemps was already voting Mobley from 2 months ago and nothing was changing his mind.

Windhorst I had no idea which way he was leaning.

Barnes wants to be seen as the best, you can see this kids passion, desire and determination to be one of the best players in the NBA. Scottie not winning it might just be a blessing in disguise and could fuel even more desire to prove himself to the rest of the world.

Maybe I just didn't see Mobley enough but from what I watched, he's not the ROTY. Their stats may be similar but their roles aren't.
Scottie was the best rookie this year.
