Re: Official Scottie Barnes Thread 3
Mobley caught up real fast. Looks like he's going to be the ROY.
Which is fine, it's only going to light a bigger fire under Scottie. I can't wait to see him after another season of NBA training.

Haha you should check out OG's presser today. He also talks about Scottie Hugs. Love how relaxed everyone is compared to our earlier years where you can sense the stress lol

this just shows that it's extremely difficult to
1) have the ability to not be a liability on a playoff team playing heavy minutes and not drop off
2) and even more so have the endurance to not get injured and play so many games at that workload
and when you compare MPG in college
Rose 40 games, 29 MPG
Hardaway 66 games, 36.7 MPG
Duncan 128 games, 35.1 MPG
Anthony 35 games, 36.4 MPG
Barnes 24 games, 24.8 MPG
It's been a steep, steep climb.

Does it say who Kelly Iko voted for 2nd and 3rd? As a Rockets reporter I’d expect that they gave Green a vote at least which could maybe help take points away from Mobley

Both had it Scottie, Evan, Cade. In that order.

overrated on the court, overrated off the court

Re: Official Scottie Barnes Thread 3
Watch the start of this interview. Look at the impact being on perennial losers has had on Ingram. He is very mindful of never having had a winning record or seen the post season in the NBA. I felt a little bad for him when EJ asked that question. 6 years of tanks has had some kind of impact. Even later on talking to Shaq about how important just making the playoffs was for everyone. That is one of the reasons why tank is no long term strategy.
I am so glad Scottie is getting this chance in the playoffs in year 1 and to have been part of a successful team to maintain the mindset of being a winner because he has always having been a winner, now he has done it at every level.

Re: Official Scottie Barnes Thread 3
Sorry if this was already covered somewhere in this thread, but Sporting News named Mobley ROY:
https://www.sportingnews.com/ca/nba/news/evan-mobley-cavaliers-rookie-of-the-year/btwu6gmnkrhovfsrhz0sfa9t
https://www.sportingnews.com/ca/nba/news/evan-mobley-cavaliers-rookie-of-the-year/btwu6gmnkrhovfsrhz0sfa9t
For full voting transparency, Barnes earned seven first-place votes to Mobley's six, but Mobley edged Barnes by two total points in the final tally. The reason? Barnes, who finished second in SN's vote, earned one third-place vote while no voter placed Mobley lower than second.

They aren't talking about the official ballot.
