Maybe Barnes was one that looked worse than it really is.

right, i thought i blew out my ankle once and it was fine later in the day, but it definitely didnt look good

Dude, you guys are openly ROOTING for injuries to Joel Embiid. Cmon man, Sixer fans are a rowdy bunch, but that's as scummy as it gets.

ONE poster rooted for an injury. It's just the SAME poster, reposting it.

ONE poster said it was a dirty play who has since said he was wrong.

It's TWO posters.

The whining about Raptor fans is unreal.

Nobody is whining. Stop pointing fingers and acting like a child. You can't say things like that and call someone a whiner when they respond to it. Out here rooting for malicious intentions. That's a punk ass move and even if it's just one poster doing it. Then again, I remember when Durant tore his achilles and the reactions it got. That was an entire arena of fans cheering.

I think this guy is being ridiculous. Actually, fun fact - we seem to have joined RealGM on the same day, almost 20 years ago.

To try to come on the GM and say that it is "just one or two Raptors fans" that pollute threads like this is insane.

If a poll was done of RealGM posters who have been here for more than 10 years asking "which fan base posts the most homeristic, bitching-about-the-refs threads on the GB?", the Raptors would win that poll in a landslide.

But he knows that.

The Sixers' starting lineup looked devastating. If they can get that type of production, they can run through the East.

Clearly I won’t convince you otherwise but I was in the building. Some did and other cheered for the steal.

You also forgot to mention when they cheered when he got back up. But hey that doesn’t help your story at all.

And you conveniently forget the fans waving 'bye bye' to KD, and players on both teams admonishing those classless jerks. No one ever said it was the entire arena, but just enough to be noticed all over the globe. It was a topic of every sports news show for a while. Let's stick with the facts over your feelings, ok?

Lol drop the attitude, I was saying it wasn’t everyone. Clearly some people did.

Anyways, this isn’t about my feelings because I don’t have any personal feelings about it.

A guy in this thread literally said it was the entire arena

This..

That was my only point, it wasn’t everyone. Every arena or building you walk into is going to have some percentage of ****. Apparently forum threads are no different lol

I've fully dislocated my ankle twice and had numerous sprains.

Some of the 'rolled' ankles were actually worse than a full dislocation.

Ankle injuries are weird like that. The time I thought I broke mine, it probably looked as bad as Barnes as far as how badly it got twisted. I was literally standing on my ankle with my weight on it for a half second. The next day I was somehow 100% pain free and I didn't get any treatment on it let alone NBA level treatment.

Hopefully this will be the case with Barnes and he'll end up being ok.

Scottie Barnes nearly had a 15 pt triple double on only 6 shots. They really need to find a way to get him more shots next game.

Maxey went off. Kid could be a future all star.

I see Raptor fans are up to their usual tricks complaining about the refs. Every game. Every single game they think refs are screwing them.

Worst fanbase on realgm.

76ers crushed in all the key hustle stats: 2nd chance, points off turnovers, and fast break points. Raps need to take those categories to win some games.

Don't expect the combo of tyrese/Harris to be this hot. Will see how the rest of the series goes, I had Raps in 6 but predicted they'd drop game 1

I had some recurring ankle issues for about a decade and can confirm that. I've had awful gutting pain for 15 minutes straight from pretty mild sprains that didn't keep me off the court/pitch at all, and played straight through ones that had me on crutches the next day (and left my whole foot looking bruised and bloated as a dead whale).

Every single fanbase that has gone up against these 76ers with the Harden/Embiid Combo has complained about the refs....

Because they have been hearing all week and getting no respect. Sixers punched raptors in the mouth and brought them back down to earth a bit. Sixers fans have ever right to call out the raptors fans who've been flooding their boards and the GB with disrespect

Pachinko_ wrote:Awful start for the Raptors but I think they have some things to feel good about. They kept moving ball and bodies on both ends which is their trademark, their D on Embiid was good, they got some boards and blocks and open looks. But when your designated shooter goes 2-11, your only PG gets 2 fouls in the first minute and you have injuries on top you really have no hope.
Those things will not happen every night, I think they can come back and make it a series. But they need Barnes back.

I mean, they did shoot almost 50/40/82, got to the stripe more than their season average, and had a 3.5:1 asst:TO, so it's not like it was a disastrous night offensively for them. Story here was more about the Sixers efficiency than about the Raptors struggling.
