i expect sixers to sweep. if they take it to 6, something is very wrong with them they wont win a title.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

If Embiid is allowed to elbow guys in the face and run through people with impunity then Sixers will win the championship because there's literally no one in the NBA who can stop him.DroseReturnChi wrote:i expect sixers to sweep. if they take it to 6, something is very wrong with them they wont win a title.

Toronto is a very pesky team. The suns won’t sweep them.
Considering the sixers played an almost perfect 3 turnover game and outrebounded raptors (sixers very bad at rebounding this season without their 6 foot 11 Australian player who couldn’t shoot but could definitely rebound
Saying that. The series is just one game. If barnes and young are both out. They are too small. Yes. Sixers should win. But Raptors will fight

Celtics fans don't hate Raps fans to nearly the same degree. Y'all fanbases seem quite buddy buddy actually.
Not in the slightest.
Compared to the Raptors rivalry the 76ers don't exsist. At least on RealGM.
But also to be fair it's because in the past like idk 20 years the 76ers are just a team we beat in 4 or 5 games every year so it's hard to be upset with them from a Boston point of view.
But it's also because of the fanbases. 76ers got like Hussein and eyetoma and that's about it, as you know the Raptor fans have like 20% trolls, 40% normal, 20% super awesome best posters on RealGM in their base but only the trolls post in the General board threads or Celtic forums for the most part.
Lmao, you mean me not taking the constant fellating of Jokic that goes on in the GB. Coming from a Celtics fan, I'd say that's a pretty biased take.

Sounds like you are describing a Raptors fan.
If you want to call out users who talked too much before the series in this topic, just go quote them. Don't generalise any fanbase --- It's unfair to users who are in this topic in good spirits to have to deal with those blind generalisations.
There are plenty of Raptors users in this topic who are well natured and balanced. You can focus on discussing with them... or you can focus on the negativity.

"Idk embiid might elbow someone in the face and end up shooting free throws"
That was a good one!
You want more? They won't be hard to find.
Two users in this topic received 'strikes' for wishing injuries on players (Embiid). Posts were reported. Mods warned users in question.
Team boards are moderated differently and you see some bad things written on any team board. Particularly during a super active game thread. Best course of action is to simply report posts and let the team board mods handle it.
Don't bring up posts from elsewhere to the General Board.
To sum up:
- Raptors/Sixers board: what is written there. Stays there. If anyone has an issue with what is written there... report those posts.
- General Board: nothing wrong with some jabs between fanbases, but try to focus on having a semi healthy discussion. There are enough good users on both sides. And it's unfair to the good users that they have to read blind attacks made on 'their fanbase'.
The goal of the GB is to have a good environment for all users and fanbases. The discussion should be higher level than on a team board. Let's keep it that way.

Toronto fans, get use to the treadmill. DeRozan and Lowry are still in the NBA playing well, it looks bad that they aren't still Raptors. The Raptors won a single championship, but probably could have won a championship if they kept Derozan and Lowry.

And like.....really?
It's been one game, but now we should have kept Derozan and Lowry?
Why so you could dunk on the Raptors as Lebronto forever?
Anyways, whens the last time Phili won a chip?
Oh right, they haven't made it past the 2nd round in over 20 years. Heck even Melo's made it past the 2nd round.

Perhaps the Raptors simply needed to wait their turn. They got a championship but now they are on the treadmill.

Yeah Toronto won a chip, but that was because you guys gave up DeRozan for a Kawhi rental. Still better than us, but I wouldn't call beating a hobbled Warriors team some sort of great accomplishment.

Harden and Joel wete bad but if you let Maxey hit 40 pts you will lose.
Nothing its over yet.
A reminder last year Harris scored 37 points in the first game of the playoffs.
Then the Sixers lost to Atlanta.
Point being if your team relies on Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey to be your top 2 scorers, good luck on that throughout the playoffs.

I still don't understand why the poll is so lopsided in favor of the Raptors. Like they have a good team and have definitely been trending upwards but it's like people just want to speak the 76ers losing into existence. I get Doc and Harden are two of the most hated people in the league but at least try to stay somewhat objective.

Embiid isn't going to play that poorly on offense. If he is, it's most likely because Raptors are focusing all of their attention on him, which leaves players like Maxey and Harris open. With Harden in the mix, it because a pick you poison kind of scenario.

They literally had the 4th pick last year with right now one of the youngest rosters in the league.

It really makes that game 7 shot and holding Embiid to 0 points even sweeter knowing just how many people are still holding on to it like bruh, make it past the 2nd round before calling someone else a treadmill.

Yeah and Siakam had a really good game 1 in the finals as well.
Do you really expect that over a 7 game series?
Sure Raptors are one thing. We had the 4th pick last year legitimately.
And i'm sure Maxey won't reach past 30 the rest of the series.
Although i'll admit, there was a blizzard here in Manitoba and the bars/vendors/liquor marts were closed for 3 days, until Saturday, so I got super drunk and passed out for the game. So I didn't get to quite watch it all, but I assure you I was drunk as all heck.

Sixers only had 3 turnovers? Pretty crazy. Thought the record was 3, but it's apparently 1, by the Nuggets last year against the Blazers. Jamal Murray kept them from having an unbreakable record!

It helps that most of the voting occured before all the game 1 injuries.

Where did you see me calling him to be injured. You have an agenda here. If he gets injured as a result of us getting physical with him that's simply unfortunate. If he was throwing his elbows at Ibaka when we had him he'd be picking up his teeth after eating a knuckle sandwich. It would be truly unfortunate if he got injured from anyone getting physical with him. I'm sure he feels the same. This is a chronic issue with this guy, though. It's just a matter of time before it catches up to him. Someone is going to clock him one day. When that day come I will have a good laugh at his expense.
