Possible Malcolm Brogdon destinations

Post#1 » by GSWFan1994 » Sun Apr 17, 2022 3:39 pm

So, per the Wiretap, Indiana will be looking to trade Brogdon.

I like him. Solid, reliable, unespectacular player.

Which teams would be interested, in your opinion?

What could Indiana get for him? A lottery pick perhaps?

Malcolm Brogdon isn't worth a lottery pick IMO.

I could see a team like the Kings wanting him.

I wouldn't trade for him though.

Do the Pacer's want an horrid expiring contract and some down the line future firsts?

I think he's a perfect fit for the Cavs

The clippers need a point guard. Maybe they could work a deal involving Morris

Hes the guy that fits on the team rather than Levert. Plays great defense and can be super efficient when surrounded by a good team.

As a Raptor fan, Hope you guys don't get him lol.

Overpaid and often injured, Brogdon would fit well in either of the LA retirement homes

If the Lakers can trade Russ for him it'd be a coup for them. Only problem is his as injury prone as Davis though.

Do they? Jackson has been great. I dont think Brogdan is really worth the price it would take to bring him over just to defend and shoot,. Pacers would want more then a first, they would want Lottery picks+assets

Throwing both picks for Brogdan+hield for Westbrook would be the 14/10 pick for the Lakers. However i think the Cavs could offer Sexton+ pick 14 would be better

I'd rather keep sexton if I'm Cleveland, I think he's underrated and at the very least you can flip him for assets down the line a lot easier than they could with Brogdon.

Hmm... I was ready to hate this, but actually now that I think about it, that would be a great fit. I really want him to stay healthy, but if he can, then that's a perfect backup for Garland.

Sexton next to Garland has never worked out well. And Brogdon's defense would be much better for us than Sexton's. Despite Sexton being younger, I'd honestly take Brodgon in a heartbeat.

But for now, I'd rather wait to see what our other options are first.

Yes. I'm not saying Westbrook for Brogdon/Hield is the best deal for them, but it's a good one. Westbrook would probably get bought out or waived.

Cavs/Indy

Post#14 » by Mavrelous » Sun Apr 17, 2022 4:47 pm

Love/Windler/22 1st for Brogdon/Hield/Cavs future 1st

Cavs get a combo guard that can play with DG and replace him, and a shooter, Indy dumps both contracts and get a good pick instead of a worse pick in the future, they reduce they cap significantly next year with expiring contracts only.

Hard to find a fair deal for a guy who below All-star calibre, but an above average as a player who is at best the 3rd best player on a contender (and that is on the generous side).

Maybe to the Knicks for Derrick Rose, Nerlens Noel, and Obi Toppin.

Maybe to Washington for Hachimura and KCP.

Maybe to San Antonio for Josh Richardson and Doug McDermott.

Maybe to Dallas for THJ.

I love Brogdon's game when he's healthy but that was years ago at this point. Even when healthy he wasn't the defensive player he was in Milwaukee. I don't know what the Pacers can get for him. He has a huge contract extension going into effect and he can't stay on the court.

Jackson is 32 and runs out of gas if you play him more than 30 minutes. Brogdon could definitely help although I have concerns about his injury history- the Clippers already have too many injury prone players

He'd be good in Utah next to Donovan, but the injury history is a buzzkill.
