Pelican's win tonight could be big for the Knicks. We move up to 11, OKC's second pick moves up to 12, and Charlotte gets 15 in addition to having 13. We get a higher pick and some close trading partners who might need to move up if someone like Jalen Duren slides out the top 10.

Only threat to Tyty being the pick I think is Duren who fo may see as Mitch replacement

I could definitely see this or something similar happening.

Just spent ten minutes of my life clicking refresh on Tankathon. Knicks move up to <4th overall like 1/10 clicks.

The most absurd and Knicksiest thing ever is that we had the best record (7-3) over the last 10 of any lottery team. Because you know, Knicks gonna Knick. New decade, same story. :banghead:

If the Knicks end up with pick 11, it will be the 9th time the Knicks have picked between 6-11 in the 21 years that Dolan has had control of the franchise. Two decades seems like a statistically relevant sample size to announce that there is a 42% chance that a Dolan-lead team will A) miss the playoffs + B) pick in the bottom half of the lottery. *

Dolan's Knicks have had the 8 pick 4 times, the 9 pick twice, the 10 pick once, and soon the 11 pick once. This is not "luck." This is ownership pretending a bad team is good while demanding late-season wins to justify ticket sales.

Fun part this year is there's no possibility of drafting 8th. It's 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 11th! Woohoo GO NY GO NY GO!!!!

*
Spoiler:
Those odds are generous because they don’t factor trades Dolan made to get rid of lotto picks. We lost FRPs to get rid of Ewing and acquire Marbury, Eddy, the cap space for Amare, and of course Carmelo and Bargnani.

Fun fact: Knicks have not drafted anyone with the 11th pick since 1969. The pick, John Warren, played 44 games before being traded to Cleveland where he was distinctly meh.

On the flip side, 11th pick overall that have played for the Knicks include Allan Houston, Jared Jeffries, Derek Harper and Kiki Vandeweghe.

Ugh. You trying to have our rookies die of old age before you do?

But in all seriousness why we want to draft Quentin Grimes again?

Another guy mentioned in this thread is Dyson Daniels. Wesley and Daniels are my 2 favorites at #11

My first pick is in. While it's early and entirely dependent on clearing up the Randle/Obi situation, I feel that Jeremy Sochan would be the ideal defensive backup 4 to play anchor with Cam, Duece and Grimes.

Should be available at 12.

A Blake Wesley breakdown. He remains my favorite upside pick in this draft. Also some Isiah Mobley, I have zero interest in trying to replace Mitch with guys that profile to hopefully be him (Mark Williams, and somewhat Duren). If we go for a big I want some like Sochan that can be a small ball 5 or Mobley who has a legit 3 pt shot

 My favorite was the way he pronounced Balkman.

With Agbaji you'd have to get rid of Fournier because otherwise he'd be completely buried on the bench. Unless he outplays Grimes I reckon. I dunno, yeah it does seem like it wouldn't make any sense otherwise. He does project to be a solid player though. He was draining threes like no ones business with all the money on the line in the tourney.

We all know what's gonna happen. They'll pick TyTy and at least 3 players picked after him will be studs

But why pick another PG when we have Burks? J/K.

But we do already have IQ and Deuce. So I don’t get picking TyTy. I think we should probably take a big instead.
