I know it’s a tie game and Brooklyn hasn’t led yet but Boston honestly looks outmatched here

Nets honestly just gotta split here. Simmons doesnt need to do much besides just be big and athletic to provide a chit ton for the Nets

they're on pace for 30+ points in the quarter.

It is still concerning for the Celtics that they can't score enough to take advantage of all turnovers they are forcing and the good defense.

Missed some shots early. They'll settle in. Lots of nervous energy I imagine.

No.

Durant in his first year with Golden State was an excellent defensive player. Not great, but excellent. I'm not afraid to give him an incredible amount of praise for the work he put in at that end. But this year? With Brooklyn? To claim he's been a good defensive player would be tough to argue. He made one good defensive play. Hell maybe even great. It was a great block. But he's not an excellent defensive player at this point. Just stop.

to be fair, most of these dudes just go off narratives, most people in general do. We are but a bunch of crack heads when it comes to this game

Brown is the 3rd best player on the team. He is small but he plays like a big man. Very good defensively as well.

Has not having Rob Williams cratered their defense or is this a normal game?

What an absurd claim.

Durant is by far our best defender and yes he is good.

Nets had a top 15 defense until KD was injured.

After he was injured it fell to bottom 5.

Over the last 15 games of the season with him back it was #8.

Is this some coincidence? He is a good defender.

I highly appreciate this outsider take. Pretty accurate.

This Boston "defense" is really just alot of bumping and hacking. I don't have a problem with it but they aren't giving the Nets the same benefit. KD is visibly shook from the rough play, his last 2 post up attempts, he got pushed from behind by the defender and looked at the ref like "waaat?"

Not saying the Nets will win this game.

But this defensive effort by the Celtics is not sustainable.

Theyre tiring themselves out in the 1st Q.

I think they wanted to try and establish a big lead. Luckily for the Nets they missed a lot of easy shots.

Is this a basketball game or a free throw contest? Feels like I’m watching Sixers vs Sixers

So now your original claim (which was top 10) has changed to top 15? Good to know. Although I'm sure if I did some actual research, I could probably refute your claim they were number 8 over the last 15 games (but nah, I got playoff basketball to watch).

And my point is that he's not an EXCELLENT defender. If you want to argue good, then fine, but even that's a tough argument to make.
