The refs messed up what should be a great game. They decided before the tip that they needed to control the game. Now they don't know what contact to allow and not allow.

Wish the refs let the game have a bit more flow. I get the necessity calls, but plenty of these aren’t even effecting the play.

Yup, but I'll add in Smart's defense the NBA's rulebook makes that the only smart play.

Refs blow whistles on all contact and will always call it on a defender unless it is charge. Obviously if you make that the rules you're going to get displays like this.

This Boston flopping is sad

Can you blame them? The refs are calling everything, it's annoying but flopping is smart when the game is called this stupid.

The way you get rid of flops is calling fewer ticky tack fouls, then when the flopper flops the team is screwed.

The Nets are shooting 50/40 and we have an ungodly amount of fouls getting called on both teams, that's all time level defense?

Thought the same thing. It's actually a dangerous play. No room to land and Smart slide into Claxton landing spot while he was in the air. Injury waiting to happen.

Yup, I'm rooting for Boston but I'll acknowledge one that went Boston's way: Drummond's forth. You could easily ignore that. Same with some of Durant's FTs.

This isn't a game were 1 team is getting most of the calls but rather an overly officiated game making for ugly play
