Post#1 » by falcolombardi » Sun Apr 17, 2022 2:50 am

the guys fron the last decade that had impressive careers without being actual superstars/best player in the league contenders

paul george

jimmy butler

kyrie irving

russel westbrook

damian lillard

draymond green

rudy gobert

where would they go in all time lists respectice to each other if their careers finished right this second ?

what about a guy that peaked higher but with a very short longevity like anthony davis?

Pg and Jimmy I see as top 60 level already. Dame and Russ top 75. Draymond top 80. Rudy and Kyrie top 100.

I would remove Russ from this list. He won league mvp and has the most triple doubles in NBA History along with 4 seasons averaging it. None of the others were even close to winning league mvp.

All-time [bear in mind I haven't updated for this year, nor will I until the playoffs are complete, so I making estimates]:

Russell Westbrook (even though I'm not too high on him, but I feel his all-time resume is the most impressive overall).
*Anthony Davis (if working him into the mix, he'd be 2nd; longevity suffers compaired to most, but I also think he's the highest peak of all those you mentioned)
Damian Lillard
Jimmy Butler
Paul George
Rudy Gobert
Draymond Green
Kyrie Irving

fwiw, Kevin Love's had a nice season [6MOY??]; I'll likely have him somewhere around the Draymond range all-time after I re-tool my rankings.
