I am so glad Scottie is getting this chance in the playoffs in year 1 and to have been part of a successful team to maintain the mindset of being a winner because he has always having been a winner, now he has done it at every level.

top 5 picks usually never win 48 games in their rookie seasons. Credit to Scottie though, if he wasn't as good or nearly as durable, we don't make the playoffs.

Wow he's getting commercials and hanging with NBA legends(kareem)... They might wanna pump Scottie Barnes up big time!! Look out for big playoff performances and some nice whistles from the refs!!!

Fact of the matter is if Scottie played in an American city like New York, LA or Chicago- He would win the ROTY by a big margin. Some of these writers do not pay enough attention to Barnes, since he is in Toronto. Barnes is the hands down ROTY. No disrespect to Mobley or Cade, but what Barnes did for the Raptors was amazing.

Playing 5 positions on the court, and holding his own with guys like Jokic at Centre. He was truly exceptional in both ends of the court, while not even being a first option like Cade. Put Barnes on the Pistons, and he would have averaged more than 20 PPG. Mobley had a solid rookie year, but playing next to a very good big man like Jarrett Allen, greatly helped his overall statistics.

Barnes would have gotten even more exceptional statistics playing with a guy like Allen, instead undersized guys like Birch, Boucher and even Precious. If Barnes does not win ROTY, it would be real shame, but deep down we all know he deserved it. He surpassed all expectations this year, and this is coming from a guy who did not want to draft him at 4. Thankfully, Masai drafted him at 4. The sky is the limit for this guy.
