I just strongly disagree with you, think it’s selling the nets short.

Man up.

Boston fans were right about Simmons in 2018. Simmons is a coward. He’s afraid to fail. Meaning. He won’t shoot cause he doesn’t think he will be successful. So he just focus on things he does well.

SAying that. He’s an excellent defensive player. I don’t think he would have let Tatum get that layup in the final second or at least contested it.

But Simmons is afraid to play in a game this season. He doesn’t have it in him. He’s afraid of no conditioning of in game play. He doesn’t want to look like a fool.

Kareem is the greatest post scorer of all time. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by skillset since even though Kareem only had one move, there was no reason to use any other. But if you want to talk about the post scorer with the biggest arsenal of moves it's Kevin McHale, and that's not really debatable. They run entire big man camps based off his footwork and low-post moves.

Thier will be alot of Simmons hate if he manages to play this series...that offense will either viciously slow down with lanes being clogged or Horford or Timelord will have 20+ rebounds playing Simmons in the paint..

Great first game and so far, the best game in the playoffs. As a fan who has no dog in the fight this was a very exciting game outside of the refs calling a bunch of touch fouls on both ends and then calling weird no calls. Hopefully the next game the refs will just let them play. I think this series will still go 6 or 7 games. It's still too early to tell who will win it.

The amount of overreaction on both sides from one game.

Series’ are won when one team has 4 wins, too early to draw conclusions on how the rest of the series will go after just 1 game, and a wire to wire game at that.

I'd call him the best second option in NBA history. Dude won't lead you far as the main guy but as a secondary scoring option in that playoffs idk if there's anyone better.

Kobe was better during the threepeat. I remember him eviscerating the twin towers and back then he even played defense, which is more than Kyrie can say for any part of his career.

Yeah no doubt but Kobe wasn't going to be content being the second option for long. Kyrie seems cool with it as long as he can be himself and play his game. Probably lebron's best teammate even if he's like the third best player lebron's played with because he plays his role and he's a **** monster at it.

People label Kyrie selfish but he doesn't strike me as the type of guy who feels the need to be the man on his team like Kobe did.

Crazy game

The only question about Simmons is what kind of outfit he'll be wearing next game from the sidelines. He's a coward and Nets need his defense more than ever. Drummond, LMA or Blake are way too slow to get back on defense. They are nearly useless for this series.

Skill wise never been a mire skilled offensive player. Footwork, shooting, body control.

He is a subpar defender and sometimes the ball sticks to him.

No one in history had better body control than MJ, the guy was called Air Jordan for a reason. He did things never seen before or since, especially in his pre dynasty years.

Also probably the best post scorer in terms of skillset ever, him or Hakeem.

Kyrie is great, all time great. I could say he had a better handle than MJ. That's where he might be the greatest. And he has more range on his jumper.
MJ was better in every other way though.

Post game is a wash. Ky's post game is HOF level. Ky also has a better off hand, floater, layup package, ft %, handles and jumper.

It's a hard pill to swallow, but it is the truth. Ky is the most talented scorer in NBA history

I also strongly disagree.

Durant doesn't care. Irving will be pissed but he's not upset by a game 1 loss in the first round of the playoffs.

They've encountered far worse than this.

Same with Dragic.

Drummond, Claxton don't have to change their approach or think so they'll be good.

Maybe Seth Curry would be slightly affected but he's established himself and played well in 2 post seasons before this.

You're disastertising don't worry about it DarkXaero, I'm the same way as a fan and it's a good way for us to protect ourselves as a self defense mechanism but nah don't worry about those players being worried about having a bad break in the playoffs. This is in no way their first rodeo.

I thought the whole reason he left Cleveland was that he was annoyed he wasn't getting any of the love LeBron was? Why else leave a team that was arguably one of the greatest teams of all time in a year they just happened to face the greatest one ever? They absolutely crushed the playoffs in 2017 until the Finals (of course LeBron going insane mode the following year and almost pulling off the same thing with a much worse team took some of the luster of Kyrie's contributions, but we didn't know that then).

LeBron's best teammate was 2020 AD, followed by 2011 Wade.
