I'd say it has been close, but I don't see teams consistently doubling Trae like they do Steph. Lots of metrics point to Steph being the better player -- BPM, RAPTOR, On/Off, and more.

To me the big difference is on defense where Curry is now an above average defender but Trae is definitely below.
I'm a big Trae fan though, no hate. Love the guy's game all around, I think like Curry his defense will improve over time. Right now Curry is better.

As you alluded to, the amount of pressure Curry faces relative to Trae is not close. They’re not comparable as shooters, and his off ball action more than makes up for the actual apg gap.

As an aside, has Curry ever had a worse playoff game than what we just saw from Trae? Highly doubtful.
