Agreed. Non-issue now as far as I'm concerned

Maybe if the media blows it up enough, nobody will want him and we can sign him for 5 years at under $20m/year

Question: What is Miles' long-term position?

I know having positionless players is great, but I do think figuring out where Miles is best suited for this next contract as he and LaMelo come into their own, is important.

It also helps in an offseason where I think we will see the biggest shakeup in our roster makeup.....especially if we keep both draft picks.

How surprised/enthused/upset would you be if Bridges was traded for Zion

I would be very surprised and incredibly excited, but it's a risk this franchise doesn't have the rocks to make

How does Miles not even get nominated for MIP?

Most Improved Player nominations:
Darius Garland, CLE
Ja Morant, MEM
Dejounte Murray, SAS

They simply had better seasons. Zach Lowe didn't even put Miles in his top 8 I don't think. Miles has another gear to get to

I think Miles had his breakout season in the 2nd half of last season.

yup, from the time Hayward went down to the end of last season, I think Miles actually played better than he did for the middle chunk of this season.

Had a dream that I talked to Miles about re-signing here and he was noncommittal. May have been a false alarm, because in my dream I was wearing a purple throwback Miles jersey, but I have the purple CLT Miles jersey.

Kinda old just realized Miles finished 7th in MIP voting. Dude got no love from the voters lol. I would've had him fourth but I guess it really doesn't matter no one's gonna remember if you finish fourth or seventh in MIP

had miles not trailed off a bit 2nd half of season, or not dropped in 3pt% or made any noticeable improvements in defense...
7th if fair imo

One executive told me, “Bridges will get close to, if not the max, at this point. He’s 23 years old and a big wing. Those guys are so rare. If Portland can’t trade for Jerami Grant, they’ll probably look in Bridges’ direction. These teams with cap space that are debating where to spend money would probably go for a young wing. They’re hard guys to get. I think he’s getting $25 million to the max annually.”

Another executive said, “I can see Bridges getting $25 million or more. He’s got leverage now. The teams that have room are teams that’ll have interest in Miles. Rich Paul can figure out a team to give him an offer that Charlotte would have to match.”

25 Million is going to be a bargain in 3-4 years. This is easy yes for the Hornets. Especially since we already have a rising star in LaMelo.

Goal should be to sign Bridges, keep LaMelo and be looking to trade for a third star. Once you have that its easy to fill out rest of the roster.

I think it's almost a certainty miles has played his last game for the good guys, unfortunately. Very fun player to watch most of the time.

Highly highly doubt that for a lot of reasons, mainly because he's a great fit and it would greatly damage LaMelo's relationship with the organization.
