Yurt's defense might cost him the roster spot. He might the better player/prospect but his defense/age/3 point shoot make him a questionable fit next to Bam

I said this when Zion before Zion got drafted. He is a power forward Derrick Rose. You better win a chip in his first 5 years with him because his legs will not last and will be injury prone. He didn't last one season before being injured. Zion has to lose massive amount of weight and even then he still not gonna last long.Hallstar wrote:AirP. wrote:Wonder how available Zion will be this summer. I get NO wanting to be patient but you're also wasting some of Zion's very best seasons. If he WANTS to play (I doubt he'll risk his career) you need to let him play vs pissing him off and him forcing his way out.
He needs to lose weight before playing again. He can want to play all he wants, but he's gonna just reinjure himself at his current weight.

I wouldn't touch Zion with a ten foot pole. Let him go to New York so they can debate and cry about the What Ifs of Zion.

It wasn't his defense, it was the amount of games he played for a lot of voters.

Now if he could give us 2 to 3 threes made per game consistently, it would totally big for us.
Still rate Max over him though. Ever since he started our starter's defense didn't have that many holes. Check Butler's post-game interview, and he talked about Max's defense as really one of the important factors for us.
Now if only Max's defense + Duncan's shooting merged. Then it would be power over 3000 for sure.

That's the point....support, back him. Send positive vibes. He's a Heat player after all. He's already starting on the bench, set a franchise playoff record, dropped 27pts @ a time Herro & Bam were having off offensive nights & people are still negative. What more do you want?
Nobody expected him to have that outing & he did it in spite of the nay sayers & coming off the bench, which can be a mental barrier for many players. Duncan is still top 10 3pt shooter in the league & just one 3 from tying Trae Young, who's 6th on the list. Do people hate the guy so much it takes away form people supporting him as a vital part of the team!?
I like Strus & I'm pulling for him to play well as a starter as I do like his D. But let's see how he performs when he's heavily scouted & focused on the way they do Duncan every gm. He was the least efficient in gm1, shot 37.5% from the field & 20% from the arc.
Players will reveal who they truly are in PO's environment. I believe Duncan will be a key piece to us being successful. I'm certainly rooting for him.
