Damn I was really hoping the playoffs starting and Miami coming out strong game 1 would get this board beyond the personnel wars on here

I can understand Mychal over him. Even Gobert(even if I don't agree). But Marcus Smart over him??? He is not even the best defender on that team.

If we do somehow meet the Celtics I hope Bam has his own "and I took that personally" series against them. Unbelievable for him to not even be in the top 3.

I don't know that he's "the best defender in the world by a long shot". But I do agree he is elite there and after the year we had deserved to make the final 3 in DPOY.

Maybe it came down to games played, idk. But like I said, very disrespectful.

Bam had good narrative to win but they held him accountable for the games missed more than anyone I've ever seen. Alot of voters disqualified him months ago smh.

F**K narrative. Bam had the qualifications and performance to be in a distinct class from everyone except Gobert. Games played was the narrative that allowed voters to give it to narrative winner. Reminds me of Derrick Rose winning MVP off narrative
