Raptors are too small compared to Embiid, there was always going to be a FT differential in favour of Philly.
I think Raps are losing because they aren't hitting shots they need to hit to be winning.

Or aggressively defend embiid. Have him go 4 for 8 with 11 free throws 19 points?
The results are the same guys. There is no easy answer for small teams trying to defend embiid.
1st option has less foul trouble and maybe avoid the bonus if we're talking hypotheticals.

Fvv is 2022s all star version of Jamal magluire or bj Armstrong. A guy who in 10 years you’ll be like “oh yeah, that dude was an all star that one year”

Holy Jesus Harden's help D just consisted of stepping into the baseline space and waving his hand at the driver lol

Disappointing tho I thought this would be a better series. The officiating has been bad but raps seem over matched.
Not saying we would win the game but having Barnes would have helped today.
That's both a compliment to the rookie and to the ceiling of this current team.
Not to to mention Gary has played 6 mins.
I’m sure Raps fans (and other teams fans alike) will be completely reasonable as a result of this series. 2 main guys out, FVV is banged up and gonna have surgery is my guess as well.
But there are very few teams who could lose essentially 2 starters and still be competitive against any playoff team

I kinda think your guys will settle in once back home. Might be just a bit too amped this game, feels like Nurse drove it into their heads to try and get inside Joel's head with intentional physical play.
As they always say, a series doesn't start until you beat the home team.

Both Siakam and FVV are great 3rd options at best. You can't build a championship team with those two as your primary scoring options especially against a packed east conference.

Re: Eastern Conference | Round 1 | (4) Philadelphia 76ers vs. (5) Toronto Raptors
Masai needs to make some serious trades this off-season.
Flipping two of OG/Siakam/Van Vleet plus draft picks to get an actual young star. Pairing him with Barnes, Gary and whoever is left over is a good reset.
The guys from the championship core are good solid role players who have become borderline stars. But they won't deliver in the playoffs. Look at Derozan.

We had a 122ORTG and lost by 20 two days ago.

nice story, bro
Have you see the point differential of the Sixers when Embiid goes to the bench?
in the 20 games Harden played? no
have u?

Wish Sixers had something they could offer up for OG.

Yep, add OG to the list.
I think if we do get a primary scorer, with Barnes, we're looking at a solid contender. But we don't got that guy at all, and haven't pretty much for the last decade. Only guy we got we traded for a 1 year rental.

Yea forsure having him in instead of Flynn obviously would be crucial. I see Scottie as minimum the raps 3rd best player and possibly their best passer.
Yep, FVV is pretty good but his ceiling is limited due to size and lack of elite athleticism , Siakam took a step but isn't a 1st option, OG is a great role player at this point in his career. GTJ is too hot or cold to be relied on.
The Raptors real ceiling is whatever Barnes becomes in a few years and a lot of the players on this roster might not even be here anymore, so *shrugs*.

i mean raps clearly has the worst playoff team of all 16 teams its not even close. their bandaid was thad young and scottie who is a wing but cant shoot so they forced him to center draymond role. no one is stopping embiid but raps dont even have the bodies to throw and foul embiid. they are literally getting beaten up badly.
