Yep. This is the end of that crappy experiment.

It really isn’t. You think Toronto is gonna bail on their entire focus because of 1 series’ in which their stud rookie plays 1 game, GTJ plays suck, and FVV has been hurt for 2 months?

I really, really doubt it. Especially when Boston is doing something very similar and succeeding.
I would absolutely bail. If it wasn't embiid, it would be Giannis or Robert Williams. If it wasn't Maxey it would be Jimmy Butler or kyrie Irving.
There is a reason teams play with a rim protector and guards

Van Vleet too small, no size to really be able to handle Joel. Philly was always going to be able to exploit mismatches all series long.

Not surprising considering the rabid Raptors fanbase on this forum

Shockingly, Doc actually called a time-out to stall the run/momentum. It's like he's been body-snatched and replaced by Jay Wright.

I'm surprised Nurse didn't hasn't given Brooks or Banton a chance. They at least seem to inject some energy

The funny thing about bringing up Gianni’s and Timelord is they are the exact players Toronto wants for their system.

You’re confusing a lack of talent for a lack of a system. Toronto is missing 40% of their starting lineup and FVV has been hurt for 2 months.

This is reminiscent of Lowry being hurt in the playoffs and everyone saying be sucks. Look what happened once he was healthy, suddenly the entire narrative flips.

The Raptors will go as far as Barnes develops. The early results are promising.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

That Flynn guy is a head shorter than both Tobias Harris and Harden and he keeps trying to guard them 1v1 without help. I don't think the sixers missed even once against him in 10-12 field goals. The canadian Bryn Forbes.

Maxey is a terrific young talent. But it just goes to show that getting drafted near the top isn't always great for young players. They get put into situations where they're green and have to perform at a high level, so learning the NBA game as trial by fire. And sometimes it's to a situation with a poor culture.

If a young player is lucky to get to a team surrounded with solid vets, leadership, and culture, they will flourish beyond what people may have expected of them at their draft spot.

Not to take anything away from Maxey, he is flourishing, but he doesn't have to be the #1 option carrying a team, can grow with the vets and fit and expand his game alongside them. Great situation for him, less pressure, more confidence.

I mean, OG has still been pretty good and he's 6"7

You still draft Barnes who's 6"7

Siakam was already on the Roster at 6"9

The whole 6"8 thing is just a happenstance because our best players were 6"7 lol.

You're looking too much into it.

Like they said, blowout or tight game, a win is just a win a loss is just one loss.

Raps can still come back from this. Philly is doing what they're supposed to do, protecting homecourt.

NExt game, energy might shift (to quote Jaylen Brown) since Raps will be at home AND Thybulle won't play

Siakam and FVV have 42 combined scoring attempts and a total of 35 points.. Not ideal

Remember this moment guys. The Raptors look mentally defeated, they are down 2 games(alsmost), down 2 guys and they are obviously physically outmatched.

If Doc Rivers manage to lose this series he should just retire for his own good.
